Another lie by so called RW historian True Indology.

The book ‘Ezhavar Annum Innum - ഈഴവര്‍ അന്നും ഇന്നും’ (Ezhavas : Then & Now) by NR Krishnan tells the story of Nangeli in detail. The book was released in Kerala in May 1960

RN Yesudas also reports this story in 1980

True Indology then says that "Before advent of British Morals, most Pre Modern Kerala women of all castes freely went around topless."

Another Lie.

Only Ezhava, Nadar and Dalit women were forced to be topless. They were knows as Avarnas (Lower castes placed out of Varna system)

Upper caste women (Brahmins and Nairs) had the privilege to wear an upper clothing upon their choice.

They could wear Mulakkacha, Chela or Kacha when they wish for, a right which was fully denied to lower caste women.

The Mulakkacha (for females) & Melmundu (men) were synonymous to the identity of upper castes.

Every upper caste women had to remove their blouses while entering into temples till 1930's. Avarnas were not allowed entry inside Temple till 1930's in Travancore & 1940s in Malabar.

The Avarnas formed 54% of Travancore population in 1901, yet they were denied entry into Temples, Schools & Travancore Assembly.

Many schools across Travancore were burned down from 1911-23 by Upper caste Hindus.

Reason : School was polluted by Dalit Children.

There were 3600+ schools in Travancore but only 12 Schools admitted Pulayas (Dalits) by 1929.

90% Ezhavas and Dalits were uneducated till 1951. They passed on their stories through Folk songs. A reason why most Avarna stories in Kerala is undocumented.

The Avarnas (untouchables) who today are 42% of Kerala's population was mostly illiterate till 1951. Till then Education was only fully available to Upper Caste Hindus, Syrian Christians and Muslims.

Things changed dramatically by 1964.

It's amazing how The so called RSS historians who dont even know to read or write any Dravidian Languages are suddenly EXPERTS in the history of South India.

If i talk about Channar revolt or Velur Maru Marakkal agitation, then this Thread will never end.
