The Partition of India or to be more accurate, the partition of Punjab & Bengal proved to be a blessing in disguise for Hindi & Urdu. Why?

Majority (above 70%) Indian Freedom Fighters were from Punjab & Bengal. Andaman Jail was filled with Bengali revolutionaries.

(1/n) Had we (British India) stayed united, there would have been twice the number of Punjabi speakers and thrice the number of Bangla speakers.

India would have had Four major Languages : Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Bengali.

Pudhiya Swarangal : The Unreleased Tamil Film from 1991 starring Devan and Uthara.

Film negatives of Pudhiya Swarangal were stored in Prasad Film Laboratories at Chennai were damaged beyond repair according to cinematographer Ramachandra Babu. Only few Stills and Songs remain. It was the Only film Directed by Tamil actor Vijayan and produced by Good Knight Films.

Fact 2 : On Aug 22nd 2018, NASA in its official statement said that Kerala floods occured due to cloud bands in Western Ghats.

Now the Indian Media is using a quote of Sujay V Kumar from an article which says Kerala has 80 Dams. Kottayam in central Kerala is all set to be the new hub of dam safety, monitoring the security and carrying out the maintenance of the 58 dams in the state....

1910's : A Pulaya (Dalit) purchaser placing his coin on the road and retreating to a distance to avoid polluting the shopkeeper, Travancore (Kerala).

The shopkeeper will then place the goods where the coin was placed and will pick up the coin. Both Dalits and Ezhavas were regarded as Outcastes (Avarnas) in Malabar and Travancore. Avarnas means those outside the Varna System.

The Avarnas had to keep a minimum distance from Upper caste Hindus as it would pollute the latter.

Looks like the boat is an old one. New Boats are ultra costly and need 2 feets of water minimum.

Kerala Govt has been honoured in the United States for its effort to contain the spread of the deadly Nipah virus in a timely manner.

A proposal to cooperate with Kerala in researches and to set up an international virology centre in Trivandrum was also discussed at the meeting. Dr Gelo was part of the team that identified the virus causing AIDS.

The honour bagged by Pinarayi assumes an additional significance as this is the first time since its founding in 1996 that the Institute of Human Virology in Baltimore has honoured a people's representative.

The book ‘Ezhavar Annum Innum - ഈഴവര്‍ അന്നും ഇന്നും’ (Ezhavas : Then & Now) by NR Krishnan tells the story of Nangeli in detail. The book was released in Kerala in May 1960

RN Yesudas also reports this story in 1980
