I didn't tag this fella b/c I just got him out of my mentions... π
He likes to make up unrelated positions then debate himself. The convo was about a dude being deported in the UK...
Sense he brought it up... I will discuss it very quickly.
I personally LOVE flags! Always have.
I regularly fly Ol' Glory with various companions. Original and current. The current flag is to be to the right (the flags right) or highest in middle. At night time, the flag is to be taken down or must be illuminated.
Although, it makes for kick *** foreground for fireworks videos. ππΊπΈ
I have a plethora of flags... With designs on acquiring many more.
Gadston, Culpepper, Gonzales and Ben Franklin Join, or die (unite or parish)...
My state flag, military support and I intend on getting each branches flag eventually. I wouldn't mind addional state flags, wouldn't object to all 50.
Flags big and small... Floats my boat big time!
I love flags... ALMOST all of them...
#MAGA
I have a Dominican Republic flag I picked up in Punta Cana. Thought of it a tad late, but every country I visit, I want to purchase their flag on their soil. I have a few to make up π all in due time.
A very special small flag... Note the non offset in the stars... Rather than 5 rows of 6 with 4 rows of 5 between them we just have 6 rows identical of 8 to equal 48. This flag is for 1944, came with my great Uncles Purple Heart he earned on D-day.
My mom is into quilting... I have a couple quilts too... The "blanket" wounded warrior gives ya is a joke... My mom fixed that problem. ππΊπΈ
Note the Detroit cityscape in the flag quilt π mother knows her son!
Oh, my Dominican flag... I don't anticipate ever acquiring a Haitian flag. #justSaying (π©hole)
The one flag I never cared for, never had disired to own yet alone fly...
The confederate flag AKA rebel flag.
No interest what do ever.
I was born and raised I'm MI, had I been military aged in 1860 I'd be wearing Union Blue without question 1000%.
Remember the "North & South" mini series? Gotta be about 40 or north to have a chance. Anyhow, I was so disappointed Patrick Swayze's character ended up in the confederacy.
Now, that said, I also understand for many folks in the south, the flag has some different meanings. I have no issue with that, nor as a northerner do I fully understand it... I understand enough to know it's a thing. I don't begrudge those folks at all.
However, I do consider it inappropriate for any government building (besides historical soley confederate sites) to fly the flag of a, technically, long conquered aggressor to the Union. State capitals in particular.
Please, spar me the confederate flag π©.

What does Ol' Glory mean to me?πΊπΈ
