BREAKING: The Trump administration just released a discriminatory rule that rolls back the birth control benefit. #HandsOffMyBC 1/

/ We’re reading the rule now – watch this thread for updates.

/ Admin claims no evidence showing BC is good for women, ignoring DECADES of research and all the women who use BC to PROTECT their health.

/ They claim few women will be impacted. They’re lying. 62.4 MILLION women have this coverage NOW, & it puts them all at risk.

/ And while we know how many cis women will be affected, there are untold numbers of trans folks who will be too. bit.ly/2mRXprc

/ Rule refers to other orgs that provide low-cost birth control – yet this admin wants to cut funding from many of these orgs, like @PPFA.

/ Rule says IUDs are available for $50 a month, but without insurance coverage an IUD can cost up to $1,000 — that's outrageous.

/ Also outrageous? Their implication that BC coverage causes young adults to engage in risky sexual behavior.

/ This rule goes into effect immediately — which means people could lose coverage starting just 30 days from today. #HandsOffMyBC

/ If you're worried about losing coverage, contact us — we can help. #HandsOffMyBC on.nwlc.org/2hRWjza

/ The rule enables a huge list of people – employers, schools, insurance companies – to deny coverage for almost any reason. #HandsOffMyBC

/ Simply put, this rule will be devastating for women. #HandsOffMyBC on.nwlc.org/2hCCCLD
