What's with the slander and unfair comparisons between Ragnarok and Black Panther? Both of these movies are MILES AHEAD of the rest of the MCU and are in, imo, Top 3 status along with Winter Soldier.

Like I am completely deadass. If you lemme keep Winter Soldier, Ragnarok, Homecoming, and Black Panther (and Iron Man and The Avengers for obvious reasons) and delete the rest of the MCU, I'd be gucci lmao

For Ragnarok, comedy is an effective way to transport commentary & it did it effectively. I didn't need the film to overtly be like "THESE WHITE ALIENS ARE DANGEROUS & PULLED SPACE IMPERALISM ON THE 9 REALMS (but really only the Dark Elves ans The Frost Giants) for me to get it.
Ragnarok is a movie about the legacies of genocide, imperialism, and colonialism/colonization. And all that is dressed up in colorful characters, a bombastic soundtrack, precise comedic timing and striking imagery.

As for Black Panther....I stopped defending this movie because the #FFFFFF crowd remains PRESSEDT that it did as many numbers as it did and I like it when they are PRESSEDT and tbh a lot of that movie probably did go over sus cabezas blancas and IDGAF 😊!
Coogler stuck his foot in the movie. Step on a Lego if you don't like it.
