My attention has been drawn to the fact that Buhari gave himself ACCOLADES in his #DemocracyDay Speech

It's normal.

Relegation bound Managers always find a way to defend their incompetence until they are sacked.
Buhari knows he has ruined Nigeria's Democracy

He knows that Rule of law, Human Rights, Separation of powers and other ingredients of a virile democracy are now in RELEGATION Zone.

But like every poor manager, he will sustain the delusion that 'All is well' until he is sacked
First, Buhari failed to appoint MINISTERS for 6 months.

Such TECHNICAL BLUNDER is FIRST in history of our Democracy

He was a coach without players way into a crucial match

Thankfully, SENATE has now included a time frame for such appointments in Constitution amendment Bill
Secondly, Buhari eventually set up a bad cabinet and also made a mockery of his much touted anti corruption stance.

Nigerian Senate EXPOSED massive corruption involving his SGF Lawal

But till date, Buhari is yet to charge him for corruption
Thirdly, Buhari has demonstrated total lack of control over his own cabinet

He sent Magu's name to Senate
He didn't know DSS has sent a bad report against Magu to same Senate
He didn't know his IGP didn't go to Benue
He didn't know when he appointed dead people into boards
Buhari REFUSED to obey Court orders for release of ZakZaky

He INVADED the houses of Judges at midnight and till date none has been found guilty of corruption.

He has relocated Police headquarters to Unity Fountain.

He backs his appointees to DISOBEY Senate

In a DEMOCRACY
In all, Buhari's Presidency has done ONE good thing for our Democracy.

His INCOMPETENCE and DICTATORSHIP has raised a compelling need for us to review our laws.

And this is why I welcome so many new CLAUSEs in the Constitution amendment bill passed by the Senate.
At least, We will no longer have the misfortune of another President who will delay appointment of Ministers,

thereby bringing governance to a halt for almost half a year.

Senate has now passed a time frame and requirement that portfolios must be attached to nominees.

Buhari seeks to bench Rule of law for National Security,

Denied Kwakwanso access to Eagle Square,

Refused to sign PIGBill on the grounds that it will whittle his powers

The same 1983 style.

Bakayoko will always be Bakayoko,

Whether in Chelsea or AC Milan. THREAD
Nobody with the benefit of proper legal training will ever argue that Rule of Law is subject to National Security.

It's akin to arguing that there are circumstances under which players can DISREGARD the decision of Refrees/VAR

There is no debate here. None.
The truth is that Buhari is still stuck in his military past.

We need to do him a favour by always reminding him that we are now in a democracy.

We need to get him a Secondary school Government text book, so he can read about "Rule of law" as expounded by AV Dicey.

Saraki is a very good Striker.

This is a counter attack move that will help our democracy.

Initially, I was against 'State Police' but a VAR review of recent security developments in the country shows it's the right decision to take.
The primary purpose of any government is the protection of LIFE and PROPERTY.

But unfortunately, the Buhari led govt is bent on relegating this responsibility to 3rd division.

NASS must urgently evolve ways to help us survive this relegation immediately.
Even in football, Rules are constantly reviewed to address new challenges and enhance the beauty of the game in an ever changing world

We now have Goal line technology
We now have VAR

In Nigeria, there is now a compelling need to review our security architecture and Policing

My attention has been drawn to reports that Obasanjo and Buhari are having an El Classico clash.

That is no El Classico.

It is more like Barcelona v Mamelodi Sundowns
Much as I have reservations about OBJ and his power sector spendings,

But relative to Buhari, he is like BARCELONA.

At least, we know OBJ started NIPP and EPSRA 2005 which GEJ aggressively executed.

Buhari has no Plan nor Reform initiative.
I have some issues with OBJs tenure

But at least we can concede that EFCC Act, ICPC, Power reforms Act, Pencom Act, NCC etc all came as Executive bills

GEJ did Sovereign Wealth Act

Buhari has failed to propose any reasonable bill for institutional reforms in any key sector

"I told you so" is inevitable

You cannot sell off Kevin De Bryune whose form was Transforming with time and bring in a hyped Bakayoko

Then expect people not to say "I told you so" when Bakayoko turns out to be a big flop.
When GEJ came into office in 2011.

His first major step was to engage KPMG to audit NNPC and come out with a report on the fuel subsidy regime.

In their report, KPMG recommended that the way forward is for Subsidy regime to go and pave way for a deregulated Market
Following the KPMG Recommendations and after due consultation with his economic team of NOI, Sanusi etc

GEJ moved to close the Subsidy regime in 2012 and pave way for full deregulation of the downstream sector.

Then "OCCUPY" happened
