2/ Today is a big day in Brexitlandia. There will be lots of votes on the withdrawal bill, a hearing on the article 50 challenge and we just may get a report from the Electoral Commission on Vote Leave, including two of @theresa_may minions who were at the heart of Vote Leave 🤐
3/ The votes will be held over 2 days which is plenty of time to decide the shape of the country after nearly 2 years of going round in circles 👏👏👏
4/ @theresa_may wants to defeat the Lords’ amendments on the grounds they are logical. One key area is on customs and it now seems this will fudged AGAIN. One could ask @NickyMorgan01 and @S_Hammond what this amendment actually guarantees other than fudge

5/ But perhaps the focus is now on retaining the meaningful vote to tell @theresa_may what to do when she inevitably fucks it’s all up by October

6/ @theresa_may thinks differently. Unless everyone backs her unequivocally she cannot succeed. To the lay person this sounds somewhat dictatorial and is not what anyone voted for twitter.com/d
7/ As MPs vote today the lay person may reasonably ask what factors might influence their voting, remembering always that they should be acting in the interests of their country
8/ Maybe they ask themselves what is happening to UK manufacturing #despiteBrexit

9/ Maybe MPs will ask themselves what is happening to jobs in the just in time sector #despiteBrexit

10/ Maybe for some MPs losing jobs is a price worth paying but then how many jobs lost is too many?

11/ Maybe some MPs will ask why @theresa_may customs “plan” is not going to prevent a hard border in Ireland and the best way to prevent it is to vote to stay in the single market and a customs union

12/ Maybe some MPs will think why does the ERG get to spend taxpayer money with no transparency and still have undue influence on Brexit negotiations
13/ Maybe some MPs will ask why does taking control of our borders now mean no check at the border @Jacob_Rees_Mogg? Some may query whether that is the only way to mitigate the fucknuggetery of the hard Brexiters

14/ Of course voting for the Lords Amendments and a meaningful vote that retains the option to remain in the EU would be far more sensible 🦉🦉🦉
15/ Some may wonder whether triggering a two year clock with no plan as out the UK on the backfoot and the lack of planning means the UK has less control over the options available to it

16/ Some MPs may wonder if Leave.EU broke electoral laws, have been referred to the police and collided with Russia what that means for the integrity of a 52/48 vote and what it means for the UK’s Brexit “strategy”

17/ Some MPs may wonder why Aaron Banks indicates some level of collusion. Collusion is collusion. If so Brexit is Russian policy and so how an MP votes today could be in Russia’s interest, not the UK’s

18/ Some MPs may wonder what such collusion means for democracy and faith in free and fair elections. @DamianCollins gets it.

20/ Some MPs may wonder if @theresa_may wants another Brexit away day there is no plan and it is time to assert some direction over the process to avoid a disaster

21/ Some MPs may wonder when Trump insists on destabilising the world and welcoming Russia into the fold again perhaps the UK is better of keeping close links with and maintaining solidarity with the EU 🤔
22/ MPs the time is now to act in the nation’s interests. Will you stand up and be counted?

2/ That was one of the core arguments for leaving the EU and has been one of the core redlines set by @theresa_may in approach to the Brexit negotiations
3/ And what a monumental waste of time, energy and goodwill that redline has been. Why so? Surely it is great that EU citizens will have their rights guaranteed?
3/ The M20 is not a lorry park. It’s a vital transport artery. Currently work is being undertaken to strengthen the hard shoulder for 13 miles because it could be a lorry park come March
