🚨 LABOUR PARTY ALERT🚨
So as the news about the appointment of @GordonNardellQC as @UKLabour's very own in house legal counsel hits the press in all the wrong ways. New blog by @mishtal has been covered on @LBC.

It's worth having a look at who elleanne green is. Who is this associate of @jeremycorbyn that set up #PalestineLive. The Facebook group he was comfortable enough in to arrange a meeting room for them. (remember that)
Well she must be a nice person, after all she's already been given legal advice by our new in house QC, and seems to be friends with ALOT of people in Labour.
So let's look at who she's not so keen on in Labour, and why. She's not a fan @lucianaberger this from 2014 looks a little mean hearted, after all this abuse did lead to people actually going to prison. Still maybe a one off....
Her sympathy towards @JohnMannMP and @stellacreasy over antisemitic abuse is also somewhat... Lacking. Still I'm sure an associate of Gordon and Jeremy must just be confused about antisemitism, after all, they've been campaigning all their lives to fight it.
Still good to know she's thinking about @RuthSmeeth in a compassionate way as she was invited to attend hearing the chakrabarti report on Antisemitism.
Yes, that one.
So maybe it's all just a big misunderstanding that she's found herself in so much trouble and up for investigation over antisemitic posts! Ones like these.
It's very difficult to spot. After all nobody ever speaks about 'Jews' in #PalestineLive...
Or do they?
(cont)
Still I'm sure it's all a big mistake. After all there is nothing wrong with questions is there? After all it's just standing up for Palestine isn't it?...
Isn't it? I mean everyone knows the daily stormer is not that bad...😕
So going back to this post. The one in @mishtal's report, I would hope @GordonNardellQC understands serious concerns that he has ALREADY advised her, and ALREADY expressed an opinion over Palestine live. Does this make him inappropriate to judge ANY cases from the report?
One for the lawyers I'd imagine.
We will be paying close attention.

I haven't tweeted for a couple of days about #Lab2018 because I had no words.
To put on here the depth of my anger over the last few days is a difficult task.
So here it is.
It started out bad. The decision by @UKLabour as a political party to portray @jeremycorbyn as the victim in all this was pretty clear from day one.
'Blame the Jews.'
I wonder if that was an actual directive.
Probably.
Senior figure after senior figure absolved him of any wrong doing. It was all 'poor Jeremy.'
As they lined up to exonerate him, they simultaneously accused the Jewish community.
You cannot do the first without doing the second.
Not after this summer.
Thread. 👇
The Twittersphere is awash, AWASH with corbynista screeching the the row over the IHRA definition is a distraction from the chaos of the Tories.
For once I am in agreement!
I know, don't pass out. This can happen.
SO why did they feel the need to do this?
The IHRA definition on antisemitism is accepted worldwide, we have been using it since @UKLabour adopted it in 2016. It's a standard definition. Nothing sinister, no big deal right? Let's get on and kick out the racists so we can fight the Tories right?
Right?
WRONG!
Instead @UKLabour attack it.
With all the exposure of antisemitism in the party, the bad press, Barnet, the terrible experiences of Jewish members, & the 'commitment' to tackle AS, why have @UKLabour chosen this hill to die on?
The IHRA definition is backed by 95% of UK Jews.
Thread on antisemitic abuse I just witnessed, and why @UKLabour
cannot claim to protect Jews now.
Tonight I went to the @antisemitism protest in parliament square. I felt it was vital to express my disgust over the situation in Labour butchering the IHRA definition.
All week I've been bombarded with people saying but...but... You won't be able to criticise Israel. Which *is* utter rubbish.
The protest was strong. Great speeches. Powerful. What happened after affected me more though.
We went for a quick pint, as you do.
Someone was wearing an Israel T-shirt, blue with the Magen David. A PASSER BY took offence. He came over. He screamed abuse.
That's right, over an Israel T-shirt.
'You lot, you are the cause of it all, all the wars, all the problems, the whole middle East'.
It's is set to go against the wishes of 68 rabbis, from the WIDE diversity in the Jewish community, who in an absolutely unprecedented sign of unity have come together to stop this attack on their community. theguardian.com/politics/2018/…
So as the fight against antisemitism in @UKLabour gets ever harder, with silence being demanded now those in the party willing to speak out, and blatant untruths being pushed by the party, I feel a short thread on how I am being silenced is in order.
When questioning the link between jewdas & JVL, after seeing the founder of one, cheerleading the other in a TV interview, I questioned a member of jewdas. Anyone fighting antisemitism in labour is entitled to ask questions, unless a hybrid of the two groups doesn't worry you.
We were attacked in response. An attack we would not expect from anyone with a serious commitment to fighting antisemitism in our party.
We often work across the vast political spectrum in Labour in order to fight this. We see no boundaries with true allies.
