Press Sec for the President of the Unites States was asked to leave Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington VA b/c the owner(s) reportedly don't like Trump.

Conservatives and others who supported @realDonaldTrump have been experiencing this rude behavior for three years. We have repeatedly turned the other cheek. We have held our tongue. We have used restraint. But it needs to end here.

Reportedly, Stephanie Wilkinson, an owner, was the decision maker. Perhaps she feels invincible, untouchable, unaccountable because, according to reports, she is Meryl Streep's cousin. She is a leader in the town and thought she could do what she did without consequence.

Her politics are obviously on the Left and she apparently protested Trump's Inauguration with her Team Lex Group. That's fine. She can think what she wants. She is free to participate in a political protest.

I thank Ben Cline for his remarks. SHS will graciously accept them, no doubt. But most Conservatives in America have reached their limit. The #RedHen Incident crossed a line of decency and civility. It will not be dismissed so easily b/c Wilkinson influences the town culture.

I thank Bob Goodlatte for his remarks. I don't know if @PressSec will ever return to Lexington. That will be her choice. I live 2.5 hrs from RedHen town.💥 Will I visit? No, I will not. Will I tell others about the RedHen Incident in Lexington, VA? Yes, I will. I'll explain why.

I won't go back to Lexington nor will I recommend it to family/friends because the #RedHen Incident exemplifies the cultural crisis our country is experiencing. I was a Democrat for 45 yrs. I voted for Obama, but I began to see a culture shift which I could trace back to 2008.

Victimhood, entitlement, tantrums, shaming, special interests, multiple gender, harassing to win, passive-aggressive tactics, taboo subjects, political correctness, lawlessness, mob-enforced submission, mocking old fashioned American values like courtesy, civility, cooperation.

With the arrival of the new century, people began to change, towns changed. It accelerated during the Obama Admin. Initially, I did not see it. So I voted for him again. But with hindsight, it is now clear to me. There is a poison in our culture.

As a nation we are currently dealing with the critical issue of immigration. I am stunned to think that some US Gov officials support unprotected open borders despite the Nat Sec threat of incoming drugs, MS-13, Islamists posing as South American, and USA kids being smuggled OUT.

Given our current (Democrat) immigration laws and the uncivil attitudes held in Lexington VA, it is easier to ILLEGALLY enter the United States of America than it is to have a quiet family meal at the Red Hen Restaurant...and I am stunned by this.

People have changed and so have many towns. I don't think Wilkinson is alone in her intolerance of conservatives. Reportedly she is the business leaders' choice for the position of Exec Director of their Main Street group. She leads and they follow. Lexington has changed.

I won't start a petition or call for a conservative boycott. I will call the Red Hen to express my disapproval and I will speak my truth in this thread. Support for Trump is increasing, GOP fundraising is setting records, and the majority of Americans will re-elect Trump in 2020.

However, there is a segment of America with whom we have lost common ground. Dems like Waters, Gutierrez, Carson, Sanders, Nadler, Lieu, Cummings, Lee, Wilson, + others joined Democratic Socialists of America/DSA and are now anti-capitalism, anti-Constitution, and anti-America.

Also in that segment are the sports players who don't stand for the National Anthem. What began as a protest against police officers became a protest against America. Did you ever imagine losing this bit of common ground? Yet we have.

#RedHen town is one of a few towns, like most of So Cal, where the social norm of civility is in fact no longer shared. Because Ms Wilkinson, a town leader, does not like POTUS Trump, she was not willing to tolerate his staff dining in her restaurant. Common ground no more.

The irony is Wilkinson, the Exec Dir of Main Street Business Community, is well aware of the tremendous benefit President Trump's recent Tax Cuts Law has afforded her own business and all businesses in Lexington. Her #RedHen decision shows her UNWILLINGNESS to have common ground.

Trump supporters are in the majority. But we would be wise to think about those who have walked away from common ground. I am not going to forget #RedHen.
I'll mourn the downfall of Lexington but I will not visit or support it.

I wonder what Wilkinson will think when one day she enters a Conservative-owned shop and she is told she must leave because of her political beliefs and her #RedHen decision. Will she think it rude, be offended or insulted? Will she be surprised?

I'll conclude: Despite the justifications Willkinson will spew on MSM, she will regret she ejected @PressSec from the #RedHen and so will all of the businesses in Lexington VA who rely on tourism. I hope the loss of revenue will spark honest discussions and change of leadership
