I had to get a little space around the murder of five humans who happen to be in the news biz. Killed for doing a job that is vital to American values. A job that has been under constant assault by #Trump & his propaganda team masquerading as a news channel, #FoxNews /1

I normally tweet off the cuff, cynical, shots about #POTUS and his enablers. This time it’s different. This time it’s cold blooded killing in a field I know and studied. I have a feeling of cold dread existing side by side with red hot rage. We all know who encouraged this. /2

#Trump has used his aggressiveness to target journalists. BY NAME. Promoting his base to vilify any journalist and news media that disagrees with him. It’s a tactic that has endeared him to his cult of personality. It’s a technique that is straight out of the dictators manual. /3

I have seen this coming, but didn’t want to really believe that it was possible. Phrases like MSM and FakeNews are now dog whistles for anyone wanting to score points with the Alt-Right. The Trump train is aptly name because it is a fast moving hate fueled vehicle carrying /4

A load of willing individuals who see themselves as patriots mocking and raging and calling for violence against reporters who uncover anything that might tarnish Trumps image. His staff throws out insinuations about MSM and how they hate this country. /5

My former friends like Mark S. Supported his crazed rants about the media and how they are the hidden enemy and how their coverage was the problem and not the news they uncovered. People like him normalized #Trump. Validating his cries of Witch Hunt. /6

Today I tried to take a step back and reflect on what happened at the #CapitalGazzette .Trying hard to not punch back against people like Sean Hannity who throw this murder at the feet of Maxine Waters. I’m only human and I fear for my friends who work in journalism./7

People endangered and belittled by the leader of our nation. Mocked. Made the target by daily false claims that “they aren’t covering” whatever #Trump wanted promoted. Or shouted down on social media for fact checking the almost daily lies uttered/tweeted by the President. /8

I don’t want to take away from the brave students of the #Parkland and other shooting tragedies. This should be the moment that makes everyone furious about the assault in the Fourth Estate. Let them ask the questions we all want answered. /9

I’m just one angry, tiny sub 100 followed, tweeting regular genius. I know that this is just wanking into the digital stratosphere. A Thread that will suddenly clutter the already bloated world of unwanted opinions. I want to express that I stand with the #MSM and #Journalists
