There is so much ugliness in the world. The #Hivites are not only working as hard as they can to create as much chaos & negativity in the world as possible, they are also contributing to that swell of negativity with their own DREAD & HATE. I refuse to contribute to that feeling.
There is going to be ugliness & violence, probably more frequently, as the stakes get higher & the #Hivites continue losing ground. I know there is so much bad news to report, & everyone is angry & wanting justice. The DEMAND for justice is palpable. And it is good. But...
Truly, the very BEST thing #WeThePeople can do is counter-BALANCE this negativity with LOVE. With COMPASSION. With honest recognition of truth & firm, unwavering enforcement of reasonable BOUNDARIES. How would you speak to a 4 year old? Do that with these bad actors. Because...
Any hate or negativity you contribute, will come back to you. #Hivites will turn it around on you, & YOU will be the one upset at the end of the exchange. Any failure to remain logical, legal, & calm can & will be used against us. The answer to their hate is not more hate. Now,
This in no way is meant to dissuade you from FEELING your righteous anger, or from letting that anger inform your choice of action. I'm talking about BEHAVIOR, not feelings/beliefs. We must ACT with righteousness in the face of evil & all the tactics evil has at its disposal.
This is incredibly hard to do, especially when the consequences are so high. We know children are suffering & people are dying. It makes it nearly impossible to remain calm/measured. This is why I say pretend you are speaking to a 4 year old terror with ADHD who is throwing a fit
This has multiple positive results:
1. It immediately removes any sense of "authority" or "superiority" the person has (this is especially important because we confer undue authority to celebrities & politicians - they're flawed, sometimes evil people, not higher authorities)

2. It takes away all negativity toward the person within you, because you suddenly realize you are dealing with an immature, broken, confused, very dysfunctional child, who just happens to be in a big body with deadly weapons. It takes some of the scariness out of the equation.
3. You then are better able to remain calm, because you see how the child is just trying to manipulate you into getting their way, & it becomes infinitely easier to calmly & compassionately set reasonable BOUNDARIES, something with which serial abusers & children struggle.
We cannot win by using their tactics. We cannot heal by internalizing their negativity. Finding ways to remain positive, compassionate & caring through this entire process, even & especially toward the guilty, is what will protect #WeThePeople, culturally & physically/emotionally
With all of that being said, I'd like to spend today focusing on the positive. I know there are negative current events & happenings to report/RT. I know people are fantasizing about punishing the guilty. But I want no part of any of that today #SelfCare is #SelfLove #HealThySelf
So while I do not promote being a Pollyanna & just being 'positive' or ignoring reality (anymore - learned my lesson on that one), I do recognize that the BEST way to BALANCE the enormity of evil, anger & hate in the world right now is to deposit some positive energy into the mix 
Instead of exposing evil, today I choose to honor & appreciate the POSITIVE things, people & circumstances in my life that are worth celebrating. I am consciously grateful for these things & today will invest some attention, care & energy BACK into those things #ReciprocalSystems

Now that I am self-aware & remember the abuse, most of the music I used to love is somehow tainted. Very few albums these days will be worth the listen for me. This morning, @JohnMayer's Continuum was the soundtrack to my life, & there is much truth in his lyrics. #Authenticity

Fighting over beliefs leads to Holy War/division. Holding all INDIVIDUALS accountable for their choices/BEHAVIOR regardless of identity/belief is the antidote. He knew this. He's been waiting for the rest of us to wake up. He may be a bad actor for all I know but he speaks truth.
IMHO the song "Gravity" is his Masterpiece. It speaks to my soul in a way I cannot describe, especially now with this awareness.

The whole Continuum album is excellent. If you haven't heard it, I highly recommend listening to it, with open ears, there is much truth embedded in his messages. Thank you, @JohnMayer for being vulnerable & authentic in your art, and for putting in the time to share it with us.
I plan to spend the rest of the day quietly appreciate the small things. The things that make daily life enjoyable. The things that help lift me up when I'm down. Today is a good day. Indeed, despite everything, today is the best day that's ever been, & each day only gets better.
