(1) What a coincidence!
The @WashingtonPost publishes a 2,000-word article raising bogus allegations against Mayor Rudy Giuliani, just ten days after he delivers a speech at an Iranian opposition convention promoting #IranRegimeChange. washingtonpost.com/politics/giuli…
(2) Josh Dawsey, Tom Hambruger & Ashley Parker claim Giuliani, attorney & advisor of US President Donald Trump, delivers “paid speeches for a controversial Iranian dissident group,” referring to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
(3) These allegations are dictated by #Iran to its chorus of apologists abroad & have never been proven.
However:
“The group is on record as saying that it has never made any payments to any American, a fact later confirmed by the U.S. Treasury Dept.” newsmax.com/raymondtanter/…
(4) The article cites another @WashingtonPost piece (!) by @ishaantharoor as its source of Giuliani being paid for a speech at another PMOI/MEK rally.
I debunked that take already:
(5) This latest article goes to cite “three White House officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity…”
A known tactic of #FakeNews producers.
(6) While saying the “MEK was formally listed as a terrorist group by the State Department…,” they fail to mention this, acknowledged by the LA Times back in 1997: articles.latimes.com/1997/oct/09/ne…
(9) Furthermore, terms such as “neo-Marxist” and “allied with Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein” are all cheap tactics again dictated by Tehran’s regime.
(10) And for the cherry on top, the article quotes Daniel Benjamin, a former State Dept. counter-terrorism coordinator, known for his die-hard, pro-Obama lines supporting appeasement vis-à-vis #Iran’s regime.
(11) Congratulations to The @WashingtonPost (!) for sinking to yet another new low, digging deeper to bow again before the ruthless & murderous regime in #Iran. #Shame
(12) For those asking why @WashingtonPost sinks to such lows, let me explain. #Iran's regime knows #IranRegimeChange is around the corner.
And the left, choosing to side with the regime against the people, see their interests going the drain.
Case closed. #WalkAway
