We are participating in the #Archive30 challenge. Each day, we will present to you something from our #EUarchives. You get a slice of history and also a glimpse into how the science and art of archiving works!
This is the first item of our participation to the #Archive30 challenge. It describes "Your Archive" but is just an appetizer...
This introduction of the #Erasmus programme had the typical look and feel of the late ‘80s. It is our "Favorite item" in our #Archive30 challenge
We thought that going back to the creation of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts was an obvious choice for the item "the weather" in our #Archive30 challenge!

This is maybe not a typical #EUarchives "work space", but we thought it was a nice story to share for the entry "Your work space" of the #Archive30 challenge.
We had to showcase "something small" in today's entry for #Archive30.
Obviously staples!
The work of the EU amounts to a form of the "peace congresses" to which Alfred Nobel refers as criteria for the Peace Prize in his 1895 will. The @NobelPrize certificate was the ideal item for the entry "Diary/letter" of our #Archive30 challenge!
We dug into our #EUarchives to find some good old black and white pictures for the entry "sum up your job"! #Archive30
Day 8 of the #Archive30 challenge was to present a "Drawing".
We found that this drawing and original verses were a perfect match!
When it comes to the entry "Animal" in the #Archive30 challenge, the selection was not obvious. But we remembered that the 'sneezing panda' was among your favourite clip on EUtube!
Day 10 of our participation to the #Archive30 challenge!
For the entry "Archive building", we highlighted the role of @HistArchivesEU in preserving our #EUarchives
European blue was the obvious choice for the entry "Favourite colour" in the #Archive30 challenge!

• Stronger EU rules on return

The new standing corps of 10,000 operational staff will ensure that the EU has the necessary capabilities in place.

EU-U.S. Joint Statement of 25 July: EU imports of U.S. liquefied natural gas are on the rise.
Since arrival of the first U.S. LNG carrier in April 2016 and today, EU imports of LNG from the U.S. have increased from 0 to 2.8 billion cubic meters.

President @JunckerEU and President @realDonaldTrump agreed to strengthen EU-U.S. strategic cooperation with respect to energy.
In this context, the EU would import more LNG from the U.S. to diversify and render its energy supply more secure.
The EU and the U.S. will therefore work to facilitate trade in liquefied natural gas.
The EU is ready to facilitate more imports of liquefied natural gas from the U.S. and this is already the case.
