I can... Do things. #spoonielife #myspoons

(That's a GIF of ladies dancing in a studio with the caption Namaste.)
So I went to this place for an same-day urgent consult.

They gave me the pain meds I was out of - Celebrex & Gabapentin. Then they gave me a shot for my new pain and a steroid.

I feel... Brand new. 🐣

(That's an emoji of a chick still an egg.)
I take that back.

I feel like me.
I sleep at night.

If I can't sleep or I get up early? I'm either rested or it's excitement.

Not #chronicpain
I want. To do things. To go walk around with my boys.

Who are so easy to please that they just wanted to ride the escalators.
To be so ready to get up and do things that I walked around with no wig on and didn't care that everyone saw my cornrowed new growth.

Like this black person snatching their own wig off.
I see now, why they're taking our #chronicpain meds away.
I see now why they are championing the non-existent #opiodcrisis with policies that don't work and leave people in #intractablepain.

They think they can stop us from #GOTV
They think if they make us into suffering zombies, we'll die off, or because we are rendered less ambulatory, we won't register, never mind vote.
Boy did they fuck up.
I'll bet you anything its having the opposite effect ,judging by the #disabled people I have known online and in person even before the fauxlection.
Disabled people, including #chronicpain patients?

We need our healthcare, flawed though it may be/was. #SaveACA
A lot of us work. Keeping us working in great for the economy because we buy things.
We need the Medicaid buy-in. It's brilliant. Even previously resistant red States are figure out how the cost to the state is LOWERED by keeping Americans healthy.

Medicaid Expansion Gains Popularity in Red States - WSJ
As well caring for those who aren't because that's what we all want America to be.

A place where if you fall, your tax dollars will pick you back up.
I may only have six more days if this feeling. My next dose of the steroid is coming up and I can feel the pain in my hip rising.

The shot wore off at about 4 am. Together they put me at about 70% human.
Sleeping a full pain-free night, three days in a row put me at 85% of being a real person.

The joy of this weekend took it to 95%.
God it's hard not to cry. I don't want to wake everyone up.
My sister & mother especially know when I'm crying, even when they're asleep.
Yeah. We're in the same hotel suite. Both of them woke up slightly. We're a bunch of awesome weirdos.
I want this for everyone.
I want us to go to the doctor and feel like humans. Like we aren't there to beg to live.
For people not to look to #disabled people as inspiration one minute, but not be inspired enough to make phone calls, March and vote to help us... Not suffer and die.
Not everyone who is #disabled or has a #chronicdisease is as "fixable" as me.

But being pain-free isn't what made me feel human. I still have fatigue. I still need my cane. I still worry that pain at the site the cancer originated means it's back to chemo.
It's being able to fully participate in life as much as I desire, without being terrified of the costs. In money OR my dignity.
And whatever part of the federal, state or local government who thinks I won't fight until my dying breath for all of us to feel like full human beings is gravely mistaken.
That's where anyone who thinks cruelty to #disabled people fucked up.
We're unstoppable in any state. And the more you take from us? The more ways we find to fight. The more of us become activists out if necessity.
None of us are going to sit peacefully while you kill us, Republicans.

We'll sooner turn the Blue wave into the next Great Flood.

In any era the theme isn't theain problem. Let's start with the word "breastaurant."
In a world where people need a job enough to have to use their bodies for leverage, #MeToo isn't the thing in the way.
It's basic respect for women as PEOPLE. Does this restaurant perpetuate rape culture? Probably. So do lots of places.

Can you have CLEARLY POSTED rules and security precautions to protect these women? Um yeah.

Updating Twitter disability hashtag thread.

@AllisonR has educated me that I should use Sentence Case for #Accessibility. Graphic reads: # symbol followed by the word Hashtag in white lettering on a blue background.
I have #brainfog so I know I missed someone. Please add your favorite resources as a reply.

Mayne I forgot the code mayne.

Too paranoid to unlock my phone with my face.
My mother's chain mail game is strong. I can't buy phones they open with my face cuz I might be beheaded.

I guess that's what I get for never forwarding these emails.
Also I never open the door for anyone because maybe they stole that uniform although how did they know when to come to my house Mom?

I know I have real depression. I know this.

Damn if coffee doesn’t help me more than hurt. #myspoons
I wonder if getting out of the habit of drinking coffee was a daft choice as a #spoonie with multiple fatigue conditions.
Once my body let me get out of bed today, I figured, let me get coffee while I'm up. And wow.

It didn't fix everything (I’m definitely depressed and need a therapist) but damned if I'm not actually getting things done for the first time in 3 weeks.

I like #Ifeelbad.

I hate the title. It's also accurate given the explanation.

I love the Indian 1st gen lead. I lover her being an older woman in text. I like the nerds.
Did her neighbor just ask her to agitate her compost? I'll fight you. #ifeelbad
I love how her husband wanted her to pick the restaurant, schedule the sitter etc. For the date where HE was going to spoil HER.

As a reward for putting her needs aside for his.

It’s really 1971. We’re just in hell. #ifeelbad #EmotionalLabor
