The Proud Boys, a white supremacist hate group have announced they will be at Make Westing in Oakland today. Their strategy is to incite widespread violence and spread their hateful rhetoric.

One of the Black women that called the cops to arrest John Lee Cowell said that his behavior was threatening and that he was reaching into his boxers and brushing up on Black women on the train.
His actions tell us exactly who his targets are. His motivation isn’t a mystery.

Today is rough. But honestly seeing the donations to this today is giving me much needed hope. I keep thinking about placing things that remind Black women we have permission to defend themselves into our hands. Thank you to everyone for sharing and investing in our safety. 💜
