We’ve been telling y’all about Deray for years. But when I told folks about his abusive behavior towards Black women in Ferguson, including me, folks attacked me. That’s when I knew folks didn’t give a fuck about Ferguson, we got thrown away for a clown in a costume. And while we’re at it, Alicia Garza canceled an appearance in STL years ago and made local activists out to be violent because she knew folks would confront her the same way they just did deray.

Y’all wanna y’all about it for real or NAH?

7 incarcerated people were killed earlier this year in Lee Correctional in S.C.

It was the deadliest attack in a prison in 25 years.

Prison Strike 2018 is a direct response to the inhumane conditions inside prison walls, like how 7 people can be murdered with no consequences. Incarcerated folks across the nation are striking for their LIVES, we need to pay attention.

ICE detainees have, many have joined the #PrisonStrike2018 by going on a solidarity hunger strike.

We can take action right where we are too.

Our struggles are all interlinked.

#oakmtg Mayor @LibbySchaaf just said she’s dedicated to “culture keeping” and I literally had to stifle a laugh. Girl, how you gon keep culture without the PEOPLE? The respectability of this moderation is disgusting. A young man from East Oakland interrupted and the response of the moderator was incredibly condescending and spiteful.

I got wind that BlackLivesMatter might be attempting to dissolve their national staff (with salaries well over 6 figures) back into local chapters. With no accountability around the MILLIONS of dollars in donations that never made their way to chapters or people doing work. Anyone who donated to that org should be wondering where the majority of the donations went. But I’ve been telling y’all this for years.

....so I find out, YET again, that someone that calls themselves a founder of movement has found a way to monetize on something I said in the moment yeeeeears ago. ...and it would be a common enough statement to believe in coincidence except their attempt to popularize it now and internet search clearly shows it wasn’t.

.... I have the info for two Black women who are in desperate need of funds: one is leaving an abusive relationship and the other stood up for her in public and refused to let her return to her abuser.

Can someone help me find folks to throw $300K their way??? This is one of the greatest acts of love and compassion I’ve seen in a long time.

This is a Black love, in action.

Mesha witnessed a man physically assaulting his partner, Breauna, on a public bus in Baltimore and intervened on the spot.

On July 28th in the Bay Area, media reported that a woman was found dead outside of a BART station around 5:30 in the morning after being released from Santa Rita jail in the dead of the night.

They reported her age, 26, and the fact that she was found with a bump on her head. Several days later we learned her name: Jessica St. Louis. She was a 26 yr old Haitian immigrant living in the Bay for years.

Santa Rita jail released her in the dead of the night, 1:25 am, when BART (public trans) no longer runs. This is a common practice and dangerous af.

God stays working, I tell you. When I started the fund for protecting Black women I have to admit my aim was low. I thought I’d do good to get $1K, that I’d probably get to help about a dozen women and that’d be it.

But the response has so been dope and larger than I expected. I haven’t even had time to go into organizer nag mode (😊) and we’re already almost at the 1st stretch goal.

Which is amazing...but also means that I’ll be spending quadruple what I expected. And, the way my politics are set up determines how I spend $. Esp a decent amount.

It’s one thing for people to wish for Black women to “be safe”.

It’s an entirely different thing for people to invest in the self agency of Black women to help ensure that we can be safer. (Because there is no such think as “safe” for us in a world filled with racial hate.) Nia’s murder left so many of us feeling helpless. But so many have responded with increased urgency around keeping each other safer, taking more accountability to prepare ourselves and our communities. I think that’s one of the best ways we can honor Nia’s legacy.

Early this morning a gas station owner in St. Louis was caught on video kicking a Black woman who is homeless.

That gas station has been shut down by the community almost all day. ✊🏾💜

The owner was also arrested. “You can’t come into our neighborhoods and treat us like trash.”

Two Black sisters were attacked and one was murdered on BART in Oakland last night.

White supremacists have already announced plans to be at several Oakland bars tonight to incite violence.

These things are directly related. OAKLAND.

Today, at 5:30 people will be standing against white supremacists in two different locations. Pick one, show up and show these punks that racial hatred won’t WIN.

I just did some quick research on the company that built that Florida bridge that collapsed and eek. 😬

They secured a massive gov contract for Guantanamo, have Manafort ties and whispers of foreign shady dealings PLUS the founder/owner is a Cuban ex-CIA collaborator. Some background info on the Corp that built the bridge and their government contracts: miamiherald.com/news/nation-wo…

The problem is people actually believe vets 'gave' us freedom and not that this country has been exporting missionaries to stave off karma. Vets didn't give you freedom, they suffered tremendously and died so the U.S. could keep running this failed colonial experiment on steroids

Since 2015 I've been asking where Black activists fleeing political persecution in the States would be able to go today. Many had no answer. This has been my instagram bio since 45's inauguration. More people have noticed it in the past two months than the previous six combined
