Sometimes we remind people we are there EVERY night until midterms, 6-7 and invite them to join us.
Or say, Vote, Midterms, Nov 6th
Most say yes, thumbs up, etc./2

If someone wants to rant, I try to find anything to agree with and to move them away from blocking signs. If they want more than a minute, I invite them to sit down with me at 7 (after we're done.) No one has. But /5

We've had a visitor who spouted many far-right talking points (MSM, Soros, etc.) but before we could find agreement (he wouldn't let us speak), he stormed away yelling "I am not a victim." Another woman just wanted someone to talk to. /7

One of my regulars is a saint. He stood the entire hour and just listened. All was well. As I said, most people are supportive. We find agreement, use humor with "live trolls" or ignore them. Generally we smile and enjoy the time together./end
