If you cannot stand hearing #notall to sexist or racist criticism, you cannot #notall to organized religion criticism.
You cannot in any form claim that most people who criticize organized religion are not coming from places of validity and shared experiences.
As much as you would like to keep a divine and sacred image of the organized religion you belong to, please keep in mind that humans are in charge of running them, and humans are capable of abusing the advantages they are afforded.
Don't be logical in everything else and then
Be illogical in understanding that people affected negatively by their experiences in an organized religion, are not trying to "spoil it" and "cause trouble", they are not suddenly "evil" and to be hated, because they are telling their stories. You believing that they are, is
Akin to people calling you problematic or a troublemaker, for speaking up rightfully about sexism or racism.
Every structure organized by HUMANS is open to criticism.
Attributing divinity to human led organizations, only creates a breeding ground for predators to flourish.
They can get away with ill behavior for years, because we have awarded them divine privileges. We don't want to question them or be marked as "unbelievers" or "troublemakers", and that culture of silence, must be completely abolished, for religious organizations to be trusted.

My male friend and I drove to a Thai restaurant to pick up food. On arrival, a slick black Tesla drove into the parking spot right next to us and a very attractive woman hopped out of the car and walked into the same restaurant we were going.
In my mind I was like I wonder what she does. She was dressed like she had come straight from work, and was put together Amal Clooney style. I guessed entertainment Lawyer, before I could vocalize my thoughts.
My male friend blurted out, "I wonder who bought her that car".
My friend is not the average sexist man, he thinks logically most of the time, but his mind immediately just regressed to viewing this obviously successful woman, as incapable of owning a car that was better than his own.
While I was brainstorming what her job could be

Most of the world is unable to seperate sex from homosexuality.

They immediately believe that a child realizing he/she likes the same sex, is envisioning sexual acts, yet at the very same ages, recall their own innocent crushes fondly and free of sexual urgency.
I remember my first childhood crush, I was 5 and I liked the way he saluted while saying the pledge. I thought it was cute how badly he did it.
And so running into tweets of people wondering why a child is thinking of "homosexuality" at the age of 9, is just so unfortunate
You think of it negatively, you see it as something to "protect" children from, because of what your foul mind envisions.
oh the glorious heterosexuality everyone waxes poetic about.
Everyday on this app, we witness so much heterosexual incompatibility, yet you are so certain

Religious people use symbolic speech to explain beliefs that marginalize others, because it doesn't make sense using regular reasoning.
The most genius part of religion was assigning divinity to what cannot be explained.

Why is it this way if it harms others?

"God made it so"
Imagine if I wrote a book and in it I claimed that God created all sagittarus people to rule the world.

Q: How do you know God wanted just sagittaurus people to be in charge of the world?

A: Because it is written in the book I wrote.
Q: Reading your book, it also says Leos were created to help Sagittaurus and were made from their femurs and thus should be led by Sagittaurus for the rest of their days.

A: Yes, I wrote it in my book because I am a sagittarus so I know what God specifically wants for us all.

Most Feminists raised in religious homes, grew to be aware of the humanity behind the centering of the male gender.
Religion formed within a patriarchal society, will favor males & prioritize male leaders.
A human tactic of retaining power repackaged as God's design for gender
Feminism rejects patriarchy as the ultimate authority for her life, instead placing logic, emphathy & choice on the throne.
The god of patriarchy pridefully says: Women are the helpers of men and must reduce their womanhood for the benefit of men.
At it's root, feminism was built upon a foundation of truth. When the crimes and injustice against women were impossible to ignore. When the lies used to justify the restriction and harming of women, could not provide supporting evidence.

I just got nominated for head feminist by @FisayoLonge & I am also married, so i can correct you.

We are logical so we have an equal partnership. We both value what we contribute to the relationship & thus our lives are easy, thoughtful and considerate.
Here he is @myronbrew
It is telling the horrible controlling men women accomodate in the name of being married when so many people are so certain, that feminists are secretly groveling at home, while being bold on the timeline.
My husband follows me on twitter and was the one who encouraged me
To keep my account open, when i almost closed it last year out of being panicked over the massive response I was getting for my tweets.
I am very private even though I may appear public, the very epitome of an introverted extrovert.
I would never marry a man who i could not

The people who made up oppressive cultural rules that dull Nigerians want to enforce on others, did they like their lives?
How do we know living up to their rules, is worth denying ourselves what we want...today?
Can we ask them if they enjo....oops, they are dead.
So let me get this straight, I am supposed to live by cultural rules, made up by people from the past who are now deceased, rules dictated by people in a society then, that saw women as property and of inferior status, rules that
Held no basis in logic, and only entertained
The highly questionable logic espoused by the male leaders of the time? Those rules? Should guide me today in my daily dealings with society?
Can anyone tell me why I with my advanced degrees, stellar intellect and world experience, will restrict myself to old timey rules
