OK, a bunch of stuff has happened in the last few weeks, and I'm just back from vacation, so I'm going to do a little impromptu Trump/Russia round-up, just to keep everything straight in my own head.
1/ First, Alex Jones and #InfoWars. The guy admitted, in a court of law, that he was a performance artist who didn't believe any of the crap he was peddling. That was last year. Why are we only now realizing that he's a BS artist & con man? Better late than never, I guess.
2/ The MAGA pundipshits are now re-aligning themselves w/r/t #QAnon. Do they believe Q or not? This is like a crew of hateful Easter Bunnies voting on whether or not the Tooth Fairy is real.

I've read my fair share of conspiracy stuff, and Q is a BAD conspiracy theorist.
3/ One of the few senators who didn't vote for Russian sanctions, @RandPaul, ostensibly an isolationist, is in Russia for dubious reasons. I hold w/John McCain: Rand Paul is working for Putin. Also: his neighbor is an American hero.
4/ Trump confessed to the true purpose of the Trump Tower meeting of 6/9/16...for a second time. The first was a bit cryptic, and happened a year ago, and thank you, media, for catching on this time.
5/ That Trump Tower 6/9 meeting implicates, at a minimum: Trump, Junior, Manafort, Kushner, @Reince (was at TT that day), Ivanka (ditto, also met them), and Hope Hicks.

All of those people are involved in the Russia conspiracy and will go to the hoosegow.
6/ Meanwhile the idiots at the Trump rallies -- the ones he hasn't paid to attend -- are now flat-out announcing they prefer Putin to the Democrats. Guys, we will happily revoke your citizenship.
7/ Roger Stone is going to be indicted any day now. Here he is on the streets of Gotham, before donning his supervillain outfit.

No one is sure WHY the madam testified now, but it's sure to be juicy.
8/ Meanwhile, in the basement of the Ecuadorian embassy in London, Julian Assange prepares to be handed over to the UK police. He is a Russian agent and will, one hopes, be transferred immediately from his basement cell to one at Florence.
9/ By even SPEAKING with Hope Hicks, Trump has committed obstruction of justice. Again. Because he has to do that at least once a week, I guess.

(Yet the MAGAts go on about Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch on the tarmac).
10/ I finished #DirtyRubles at the end of May. I was in a rush to get it out before the story changed. The story in the book ("essential reading for all Americans" - Salon) has not changed...they are all still guilty...but there is one fun detail that has emerged...
11/ A homely Russian spy infiltrated the MAGA crew and either flirted with or outright shagged an alarming number of them. (They were so eager to share this woman, you'd think they were socialists!). That idiot flaired-out sheriff, Rick Santorum, Junior of course.
12/ One of Mariia Butina's alleged conquests was JD Gordon. He was one of Trump's foreign adviser during the RNC period. He was the one who said that Trump PERSONALLY requested a changed in the GOP platform to soften our stance on Ukraine, to make it more like Putin's.
13/
It goes Putin --> Butina --> Gordon --> Trump.

That's collusion, conspiracy, coordination, whatever you want to call it, by way of honeypot.
14/ Rick Gates plunged the proverbial knife into the proverbial back of Paul Manafort. The latter is dead to rights.

Hey, media, maybe report more that Mike Pence was hand-picked by Manafort and was very much involved with these criminals?
15/ RUMINT: Back in late December, we all thought Kushner was going to get indicted. All the sources said it. Kush had hired a crisis PR team and stuff. Then...radio silence.

People are saying that Kush has been cooperating w/Mueller ever since.
16/ Speaking of radio silence, Michael Cohen has left the grid, huh? I almost forgot about him and the tetrabytes of audio he scored.

Ya think Sean Hannity might be a tad worried about that?
17/ "The media is the enemy of the people." There seems to have been a shift in the last few weeks, where it seems to be that even the skeptics in the press now know that Trump is guilty. People are more bold in their pronouncements. This is good. Call a liar a lair.
18/ One more thing...you know how people are afraid of civil war and stuff? Remember that it will be patriotic Americans who love our country and respect the rule of law against an army of guys like this:
There will be no civil war. There will only be a Time of Reckoning for all those who are involved in the Trump/Russia criminal conspiracy. And that time is almost here.

Let’s talk about the House of Kavanaugh—specifically, the hefty mortgage on said house.

[THREAD]
1/ In 2006, Brett & Ashley Kavanaugh bought a house for $1.22m. They put $245k down, a number that does not appear on his financial disclosures of 2005, which show net worth of $91k.
2/ The mortgage payments ($4600/mo.) alone were more than what Brett Kavanaugh took home in 2006 after taxes. His wife did not add enough to the mix to make up the difference.

In light of the epic (in every sense of the word) NYT story on Trump's tax fraud, let's have a quick review of all the legal troubles these traitors are now in:

[THREAD]
1/ PAUL MANAFORT, Trump’s campaign chair (May-Aug 2016): found guilty on eight counts, pleaded guilty on a bunch more as part of a plea deal in which he must cooperate with Mueller. Met w/Mueller this week, in fact.
2/ MIKE FLYNN, deputy chair of Trump Transition Team, natsec adviser: pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Awaiting sentencing. Will one day get out of prison. Will always be an ugly, ugly man.

Pleased to announce a slate of #DirtyRubles Trump/Russia events, on three of the next five Sundays:
The event in Madison, my hometown, is taking place at an undisclosed secret location [insert Dick Cheney joke here]. If you'd like to come, you need to RSVP:

cc: @reallymdp @Post_Truth_Era @CodyStumpo
The Woodstock event is at one of my favorite bookstores in all the world, The Golden Notebook @we_love_books.

Last time I was there, I bought FANTASYLAND by @KBAndersen, one of the best books I've read in recent memory.

Let's talk about the Putin/Alt-Right/GOP propaganda machine—the REAL Devil's Triangle—as it relates to Brett #Kavanaugh:

[THREAD]
1/ This cozy little messaging arrangement, which operates happily in the dark most of the time, is now being exposed because of the fatally flawed candidate Donald Trump has nominated to the Supreme Court.
2/ The problem with Kavanaugh is manifold: first, that he had six-figure credit card debts paid off by creditors whose identity we still don’t know; second, that he lied during his initial testimony...

Things might feel a bit bleak. Kavanaugh might be in, Rosenstein might be out, and both would be horrible outcomes for democracy.

So let’s put things into perspective.

[THREAD]
1/ The Kavanaugh fight is not over. Even if he gets CONFIRMED, the fight is not over. He stands credibly accused of sexual assault, and he owes lots and lots of money to…we don’t know who.

There’s also this business of HIS (maybe) stolen emails:
2/ Dr. Ford will likely appear before Congress…and the GOP may bring in outside counsel (note spelling) because THERE ARE NO WOMEN REPUBLICANS ON THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE. This is HORRIBLE optics. It will cost them in November. Bigly.

Let’s talk about #Kavanaugh. This is why he should not be confirmed. And it has nothing to do with his political beliefs.

[THREAD]
1/ #Kavanaugh was not on the list of judges given to Trump by Judicial Watch, but he was tapped anyway. This was after Trump said he’d “study” (hahaha) judicial positions on various things—namely whether or not a POTUS can be indicted.
2/ When @ChuckGrassley says he didn't know about Christine Blasey Ford, he may well be telling the truth. The letter from those 65 women was likely produced ahead of time to defend #Kavanaugh against a DIFFERENT accuser(s) we don't yet know about.
