Let’s take a closer look at the Trump Transition Team. As per usual, Trump has surrounded himself with grifters, scumbags, con-men, and traitors.

[THREAD]
1/ The chair of the TTT? Mike Pence. The @VP has lived in the shadows for most of the last two years, emerging only to protest at NFL games or to promote zany space stuff. But make no mistake: Manafort’s Chosen One (and thus Putin’s) was IN CHARGE OF THE TRANSITION.
2/ Let me reiterate: Putin chose Manafort, who chose Pence, who chose EVERYONE, in theory, as the head of the Trump Transition Team.

ANYTHING criminal that happened at that time lands right in his lap.

The buck stops with Pence.
3/ The TTT originally had six vice-chairs: Chris Christie (after Kushner had him sacked as head of TTT), Newt Gingrich, Rudy Giuliani, Jeff Sessions, Mike Flynn, and presumably to add “diversity,” Ben Carson. Note: no women (Rudy in drag doesn’t count).
4/ Christie was supposedly sacked because he was the prosecutor who put away Kushner’s old man, Charles Kushner, whose crime is the sort of thing you usually find only on shows like Billions. But “Bridgegate” was also happening around that time.
5/ In other words, Trump jettisoned Christie because he, Christie, was seen as too corrupt. Hahahahahahahahahaha!
6/ Gingrich is basically a fame-whore. Trump wanted him because, as former Speaker, he actually understood how the government works. Gingrich wanted in to prevent his decades-long decline into fatuous irrelevance.
7/ Giuliani was supposed to be AG, then wanted State—and then, just like that, you didn’t hear about him for YEARS. Almost like he was under investigation, or feared that vetting for those jobs might reveal something bad. He made odd trips overseas.
8/ Rudy Giuliani was intimately involved in the “True Pundit Hoax” (per @sethabramson), an op run by rogue elements at the FBI’s NY field office to coerce James Comey into writing his letter to Congress that gave Trump the election. Rudy WILL pay for that.
9/ Ben Carson should really head the Space Force, because he’s been living on another planet for some time. He’s a common grifter, but he’s absolutely a grifter.
10/ Jeff Sessions was the first Senator to endorse Trump. He’s an inveterate racist who perjured himself before Congress re: contacts with Russia. He is intimately involved with Trump/Russia and if he has not already flipped, will likely die in prison.
11/ That Sessions could serve life in the sort of for-profit prison he’s so deeply invested in is, of course, a delicious irony.
12/ Mike Flynn already pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. He is awaiting sentencing.

Everyone knew the guy was dirty, even at the time, but Trump ignored the warnings and gave him eyes-only secrets.

THAT ALONE WARRANTS IMPEACHMENT.
13/ So: of the six vice-chairs and the chair, one is awaiting sentencing, three are involved in Trump/Russia and will absolutely be indicted, and the others are shady characters who won’t go to prison but are failed human beings. #winning
14/ The six original vice chairs were expanded to 13—QAnon would find numerological meaning there, something to do with the Last Summer maybe. Probably someone convinced them that having some women around would be a good idea (which, with Pence, must have been a hard sell).
15/ One of the seven additional vice chairs is KT McFarland. She was basically the Rick Gates to Mike Flynn’s Paul Manafort. She’s also complicit in Trump/Russia, although we’re not yet sure how much.
16/ Most of the names here have not yet made the news in Trump/Russia: Oklahoma governor Mary Fallin, and Reps. Tim Scott, Tom Reed, Cynthia Lummis, Martha Blackburn (running for Senate in TN, with Trump’s eager endorsement).
17/ The seventh is—mirabile dictu—Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Now where have we heard that name of late? Oh yes—she was the one Devin Nunes was confessing his sins to on that tape @Maddow played. So when Nunes said those things, it wasn’t to some rando.
18/ The Executive Committee of the Trump Transition Team is basically the League of Stupid Villains.

Junior, Ivanka, Eric, and Kushner, natch.

Nunes and @Reince.

Those six will be indicted for sure.
19/
Chris Collins, the inside trader scumbag Congressman from Western NY.

Florida AG Pam “If You Donate to My Campaign I Won’t Press Charges” Bondi.
20/

Steve Mnuchin.

Kellyanne Conway, who replaced Steve Bannon.

Tom Marino, scummy Rep. from Pennsylvania, best known for crafted a bill that prevented the DEA to go after opioid manufacturers, thus exacerbating the opioid crisis.
21/
Peter Thiel, “libertarian” founder of PayPal.

Rebekkah Mercer, of Mercer fame. Her people are wrapped up in Cambridge Analytica (#CamAnal).
22/
Oh, and @Scaramucci managed to stick around for more than one full scaramucci. His presence on the TTT likely explains his willingness to go on any show and defend his whoremaster Trump.
23/
The only non-name on the Executive Committee is Lou Barletta. If I were Lou, I’d be sweating bullets.
Bottom line: the Trump Transition Team features a cast of characters who factor prominently in Trump/Russia and/or corruption. They were all early adopters, and will likely all go down with the ship.

Let’s talk about the House of Kavanaugh—specifically, the hefty mortgage on said house.

[THREAD]
1/ In 2006, Brett & Ashley Kavanaugh bought a house for $1.22m. They put $245k down, a number that does not appear on his financial disclosures of 2005, which show net worth of $91k.
2/ The mortgage payments ($4600/mo.) alone were more than what Brett Kavanaugh took home in 2006 after taxes. His wife did not add enough to the mix to make up the difference.

In light of the epic (in every sense of the word) NYT story on Trump's tax fraud, let's have a quick review of all the legal troubles these traitors are now in:

[THREAD]
1/ PAUL MANAFORT, Trump’s campaign chair (May-Aug 2016): found guilty on eight counts, pleaded guilty on a bunch more as part of a plea deal in which he must cooperate with Mueller. Met w/Mueller this week, in fact.
2/ MIKE FLYNN, deputy chair of Trump Transition Team, natsec adviser: pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Awaiting sentencing. Will one day get out of prison. Will always be an ugly, ugly man.

Pleased to announce a slate of #DirtyRubles Trump/Russia events, on three of the next five Sundays:
The event in Madison, my hometown, is taking place at an undisclosed secret location [insert Dick Cheney joke here]. If you'd like to come, you need to RSVP:

The Woodstock event is at one of my favorite bookstores in all the world, The Golden Notebook @we_love_books.

Last time I was there, I bought FANTASYLAND by @KBAndersen, one of the best books I've read in recent memory.

Let's talk about the Putin/Alt-Right/GOP propaganda machine—the REAL Devil's Triangle—as it relates to Brett #Kavanaugh:

[THREAD]
1/ This cozy little messaging arrangement, which operates happily in the dark most of the time, is now being exposed because of the fatally flawed candidate Donald Trump has nominated to the Supreme Court.
2/ The problem with Kavanaugh is manifold: first, that he had six-figure credit card debts paid off by creditors whose identity we still don’t know; second, that he lied during his initial testimony...

Things might feel a bit bleak. Kavanaugh might be in, Rosenstein might be out, and both would be horrible outcomes for democracy.

So let’s put things into perspective.

[THREAD]
1/ The Kavanaugh fight is not over. Even if he gets CONFIRMED, the fight is not over. He stands credibly accused of sexual assault, and he owes lots and lots of money to…we don’t know who.

There’s also this business of HIS (maybe) stolen emails:
2/ Dr. Ford will likely appear before Congress…and the GOP may bring in outside counsel (note spelling) because THERE ARE NO WOMEN REPUBLICANS ON THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE. This is HORRIBLE optics. It will cost them in November. Bigly.

Let’s talk about #Kavanaugh. This is why he should not be confirmed. And it has nothing to do with his political beliefs.

[THREAD]
1/ #Kavanaugh was not on the list of judges given to Trump by Judicial Watch, but he was tapped anyway. This was after Trump said he’d “study” (hahaha) judicial positions on various things—namely whether or not a POTUS can be indicted.
2/ When @ChuckGrassley says he didn't know about Christine Blasey Ford, he may well be telling the truth. The letter from those 65 women was likely produced ahead of time to defend #Kavanaugh against a DIFFERENT accuser(s) we don't yet know about.
