(5) At these events, LEOs try to locate and confiscate weapons, including wooden, metal or plastic poles. Hollow cardboard tubes are more appropriate.
(6) Antifa with shields made from plastic drums. Most DIY shields can be confiscated as weapons. Sharp corners, heavy materials etc.

(24) Regarding San Fran this Friday, I'm sure that most LEOs are highly competent, decent people. Unfortunately their leaders have made poor decisions on policy, under pressure from Dem politicians. It's the last place in the US where I'd want to attend a demonstration.
