(1) Seeing notice of a demonstration against Twitter policies that is planned for this Friday in San Francisco has prompted me to finally tweet my photo thread from the Portland rioting on 8/4/18.
(2) I will have some links at the end of this thread to further information about what happened in downtown Portland on August 4th. First, here are some photos.
Both sides used masks to make Policing more difficult. Not just Antifa.
(3) I wish they wouldn't associate themselves with President Trump. And WTH is that guy in the second photo even wearing?
(4) A catchy slogan for meme warriors, but some of us are well aware of what the Pinochet regime in Chile did to its opponents, and it's not something that should be excused or made light of.
(5) At these events, LEOs try to locate and confiscate weapons, including wooden, metal or plastic poles. Hollow cardboard tubes are more appropriate.
(6) Antifa with shields made from plastic drums. Most DIY shields can be confiscated as weapons. Sharp corners, heavy materials etc.
Remind me what is the point of holding street demonstrations when we don't need to at this time?
(7) There were some lighter moments for me looking on from the safety of my laptop screen.
The American Left:
(8) This charming character has a swastika on the back of his neck.
Protip: Distinctive tattoos make it easier for the Police to identify you from previous incidents.
(9) Please do not associate the President with these violent performance art spectacles. Even better, stay home, so you won't be part of enticing Antifa to harass and assault people.
(10) More 70s/80s Latin American references. You're not clever or funny. I actually know someone who was victimized on board an aircraft by the Peronist regime in Argentina. Amazingly, he wasn't murdered by them.
So, grow up.
(11) Your purpose is what, exactly? To give the Left what they want?
🤦♀️
(12) The Left often bring young children to these protests.
So don't encourage them by holding pointless self-defeating demonstrations in the street.
Especially in Leftist ****holes like San Fran, where Police take pride in NOT working with the FBI vs terrorism, for example.
(13) Another tot who should be back home where it's safer for her, along with photos of... I'm not exactly sure what this is.
(14) The nonsensical signs always amuse me.
"White supremacy is terrorism" it says.
First, the only terrorism going on at this event was by the violent Left...
(15) That's bound to work.
(16) What does this even mean? Guns are needed to defend ourselves from violent people if the situation arises. Walls work, and wealthy Leftists have them around their homes.
There's no logic with them. Not a modicum of common sense.
(17) Oh and the guy in the photo above who asserts somehow that Proud Boys are cowards? He is wearing a bandanna pulled down around his neck, probably to cover his face if rioting starts (which it did).
(18) The demonstrators who hold themselves out to be right wing often are not. This one holds a #BackTheBlue flag but if you truly support Police & the rule of law, why would you needlessly invite civil unrest by Antifa, which often sees Police getting injured? Hypocrites.
(19) Rather violent imagery isn't it? Slicing right through the snake on our Molon Labe flag. They bring their little kids along to these events.
(20) Sign at the back says "Tax The Rich - Feed The Poor."
The great lie, used for the past 200 years. If only it were that simple. If only it worked somewhere, anywhere.
100 million killed in 100 countries over the last 100 years. Approximately.
(21) Sign on the right of pic "Stop Targeting Our Minority Populations."
That's what they say we are doing. Utterly clueless, and blind to their own side's behavior.
Really, it is better to just ignore the Left. Don't go out and bait them.
(22) One of several threads @ThomasWictor has written about the August 4th rioting in Portland, and similar events since 2016. He explains it better than I can:
(23) IMO the Portland Police did a very good job that day. And their public information work was also very good. Lots of details here, and photos of suspects arrested:
(24) Regarding San Fran this Friday, I'm sure that most LEOs are highly competent, decent people. Unfortunately their leaders have made poor decisions on policy, under pressure from Dem politicians. It's the last place in the US where I'd want to attend a demonstration.

(2) Brett M. Kavanaugh will soon be the 102nd Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the USA. He has earned this highest honor throughout his life, inspired by his trailblazing mother, Judge Martha Kavanaugh.
His title for these few hours is Associate Justice Designate.
(3) This statement from the Supreme Court explains the two ceremonies:
(2) This WaPo reporter is incorrect about the vote being "scheduled for" Saturday. The earliest time a vote COULD be held is Saturday pm. There's no reason not to hold it on Sun/Mon IF we need Daines. I think we won't. Read my 5 tweets about him here:
(1) A directory of my Kavanaugh threads since July 9, 2018.
I never planned more than a couple of threads about him this year but, I shoulda known the Dems would try to destroy whoever was the nominee this time.
(2) Like Democrats, I'd already decided how I felt about him before his nomination was announced. I live-tweeted the announcement, which was a great event in itself.
(3) I followed Kavanaugh's progress over the summer and on September 22nd, I finally wrote a thread about the preparations for the all-important hearing on September 27th. It covers the hearing before the next thread started the day after.
(2) Mitch laughing to himself about how absurd it is that he has to push his way through the crowd of reporters on 9/25/18.
(3) Sen Grassley is 85 years old. (Democrats have senators around that age, too.)
Today he had to hold onto a Capitol Police officer to reduce the risk of a reporter knocking him over. This has to stop. Senators must return to being able to walk around freely at work.
(2) First Lady Melania Trump is a natural in this important role.
She's one of those women whose face lights up whenever she is around children. God Bless our great First Lady.

(3) FLOTUS left Joint Base Andrews in her trademark high heels and arrived in Ghana wearing practical flats. She still looks sensational, whatever she happens to wear!
(2) Cloture in the Senate is a procedural step that you can learn more about at the link below. The senate.gov website is the best resource for learning about Senate procedure and a lot more. Same for house.gov.
(3) Watching live Senate floor proceedings is boring as hell, as they pass bills for naming Post Offices, & so on. But every now & then, they confirm a SCOTUS judge. And this time, they will affirm our great #BillOfRights#DueProcess & the hard-won #RuleOfLaw. Seriously. 🇺🇸🦅
