Has there been any explanation put forward yet for the stunning, massive destruction of crime scene evidence at the #TaosCompound by local authorities?

Seriously @NewMexicoOAG - what's the story here? How did you permit the wholesale destruction of not just crime scene evidence but *the crime scene* itself? What oversight was involved in this process?

How did the destruction of the #TaosCompound protect the citizens of New Mexico, much less victims who had no choice about being there? How about the rights of those charged with unlawful conduct there - shouldn't possibly exculpatory evidence have been preserved?

Mr. @NewMexicoOAG, what measures are being taken to preserve evidence - at what's left of the #TaosCompound, as well as in connection with what looks like a rogue attemw to destroy forensic evidence by local authorities? Have you taken over this investigation?

Did you learn from your colleagues in Nevada just how easy it is to get away with letting certain people get away with murder, Mr. @NewMexicoOAG?

I'm prepared - indeed, desperate - to be embarrassed and shown that I'm missing the perfectly logical explanation or the "rest of the story" about the #TaosCompound.

I don't think I'm alone either.
