This summer, I followed about 100 more historians and my feed is already 30% better. More interesting. More cool facts. More insightful links. More sober, considerate, courageous, verifiable-fact discussion. #twitterstorians
My automatic follows are: physicists, poets, theologians, neuroscience researchers, philosophers, women in tech, cephalopod researchers, philanthropists, Korean-Americans and Lithuanians, good cooks—and now, historians.
Suggestions? A broad spectrum of professors/ academics who tweet research, links and insight (PART ONE):

@KevinMKruse @SarahEBond @erik_kwakkel @profblmkelley @KeishaBlain @bradhostetler @Mark_C_Elliott @cdc29 @Melanie_Xue @tsmullaney @JohnDelury @MitchFraas

Lastly, I'm not a historian (yet!). But I love history. So if you are a new follower, I tweet on tech, religion, books, film, etc. + long arcane history threads like this one on "Asian Interracial Marriage and Denaturalization in the Early 20th Century:"

Amazing. We think these things are the distant past, but Ruby Bridges is not even retired yet.
There's a beautiful, family-friendly film about Ruby Bridge's historic integration into New Orleans segregated schools. #ProfileInCourage
"Ruby faced public humiliation, death threats and racial slurs on her way to school. One woman held a black baby doll in a coffin, another threatened to poison her. Her father lost his job...her grandparents were evicted from the farm they had lived on for decades."

“To stand in silence when they should be protesting makes cowards out of men."
—Abraham Lincoln
“I know there is a God and I know He hates injustice. I see the storm coming and I know His hand is in it. But if He has a place and a part for me, I believe I am ready.”
—Abraham Lincoln
“We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory...will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched....by the better angels of our nature.”

I'm re-watching THE TWO TOWERS. One of my most *hated* storylines of any film ever starts around 2:30. "Farimir Tries to Take the Ring to Gondor."
It's the most egregious flaw of these otherwise excellent films. Did I mention how much I HATE how Peter Jackson ruined the character of Faramir?
From Chapter 5 of the book: Faramir does not want the Ring. He knows he can't handle it. "...some perils from which a man must flee..."

Sam Harris is an ass. This email correspondence just makes him sound like an insufferable and petulant bore.
People who become virulently anti-SJW lose their sense of proportionality in the same way rabid SJW's lose perspective & scale.
I hate that so many smart people are getting fixated on this grievance ideology which is a supposedly a rational response to a grievance ideology.

1) Concussions, bathtubs, and balance: a few points on Hillary Clinton.
2) Hillary sustained a concussion in 2012 that required six-months of vision treatment. Even mild TBIs often create vision impairment.
3) Vestibular deficits (balance/equilibrium) are a super common post-concussion impairment. Without therapy, they can linger for years.

Evil and domestication: how puff pieces in 1930's Vogue, Life, Home and Garden, NYT normalized Nazis. placesjournal.org/article/hitler…
The SS opened Buchenwald a few months after American Kennel Gazette published “Hitler Says His Dogs Are Real Friends” in 1937.
"Hitler's Mountain Home" extolled Hitler's fine taste and was published in November 1938 by Home and Garden (same month as Kristallnacht).
