International Newspapers have #KeralaFloods on Front page, while TOI has no news.
Similarly the Front pages of Times Group owned newspapers ( The Economic Times, Vijaya Karnataka and Navbharat Times) had no news about Kerala Floods on Sat 18 Aug.
Times of India then has the Audacity to mock Kerala through a Cartoon.
Such a Beautiful Newspaper.
The Hindu, HT, Telegraph, Deccan Chronicle had news about Kerala News on its Front page on Sat 18 Aug
TOI gave the news on a Front flap. Nice.
This is the reason why Majority Malayalis had the similar sentiment that the National Media is totally ignoring the Kerala Floods.
It was only on Day 9 (Aug 17) and Day 10th (Aug 18) of the #KeralaFloods that many opened their eyes.
Kerala, Kodagu, North East and Tamil Nadu all are parts of India. When Floods or Cyclones like Ockhi cause havoc, its the duty of the National Media to report it orelse remove that National tag.
"The farther you are from Delhi, the less you matter to us" attitude has to stop.
