1/x So the following #thread breaks down a story unfolding in #Germany in the last days, which as become too strange and awfully relevant, as not to bother you all with it. It quickly turned into a political-legal-media-#XRW shitshow with quite many angles.
2/x So what happened? A week ago a tv crew from a public media station wanted to film during a #PEGIDA rally in Saxony. Yes, they still exist but rarely hit the national news anymore. As they filmed some participants, one if them started to verbally assault the crew.
3/x He claimed that filming him without consent would be a crime. He went to bystanding police officers and complained. That in turn led the police to hold the press team for about 45 minutes. The reason for that is still debated.
3/x A video of the incident went viral on social media. The press team complained that police interfered with their rights. Then, the Prime Minister of Saxony tweeted out, that the only ones acting professional in the video would have been the police officers.
4/x So we got 1st outcry. Politician vs. press. Then it came out, that this PEGIDA supporter verbally attacking the crew is actually working for the state's criminal police division and that he has access even to refugee files! You think that's a kicker? Wait.
5/x After 2nd outcry public found out that this employee of the criminal police was going to the PEGIDA rally in his vacation. No biggie right? But now it came out that this person was filmed associating with a well-known #XRW activist. bit.ly/2MLoNZ1
6/x This activist comes from #Freital. Rings a bell? No? Just recently an #XRW milita group was convicted and sentenced to prison for #terrorism. The person we talk about here created an anti-immigration initiative, from which the terror cell split off.
7/x So, wrapping up: an employee of the Saxon criminal police with access to refugee files associated with someone from the close environment of #XRW #terrorists at a #PEGIDA rally shouting "traitor" about Merkel together with others. And the story is still unfolding!
