John McCain passed today. It wasn’t like we all didn’t know it was coming. Still, it’s sad. And to @cindymccain@MeghanMcCain I wish my heartfelt condolences. May you find peace and comfort in the coming days.
But now a little rant/reminder... (1/?)
People are getting SUPER nasty about the passing of this man. Saying HORRIBLE things TO HIS FAMILY.
Yes. He was a politician. And if you liked what he did, you say good things. And if you didn’t like what he did, there is a RESPECTFUL way to express that (2/?)
I’m seeing a lot of “I didn’t agree with him politically but..”. It’s good to see.
The thing is, above being a politician, above being a POW in Vietnam, above being a Presidential Candidatw, above being a Republican, he was a man...a husband...a father. And now he is gone.(3/?)
This family is grieving the loss of their loved one. And people still feel that it is the perfect time to call out every misdeed, every decision, any shortcomings he had, and throw it in the faces of this grieving family.
(4/?)
And here is where a lot of you are probably going to disagree with me, but I’ll say it anyway:
This is also not the time to bring your Love/Hate of Trump into it.
Just offer condolences to the family who lost their father/son/husband/brother.
(5/?)
Remember that there is more than just the politics. Let the family grieve without the hate and vitriol, whether you liked John McCain or not. #RIPJohnMcCain (/end)

(THREAD) Ok. Here comes another thread from Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana-Fana Bo-Besca the Third aka me.
But it’s kinda serious. And scary.
This says we are breaking international law. Flat out. With our current “immigration policy”. Read here:

So we see, plain as day, that we are breaking the law. In International law, when someone breaks the law, what happens? Well first the UN says “bad country”. Ok. Not too bad. Then they issue sanctions. What are sanctions? Well they vary, depending on the goal. 2/?
Sometimes it’s economic and trade sanctions (ie you pay a lot of money to trade). Sometimes it’s embargoes (you can’t receive or give trade goods).
These are tougher. It crippled your economy. In some cases (take NKorea) it can starve the population by not allowing food through
(THREAD) I took the liberty of breaking down the Executive Order. It’s few good points and a lot of bad. So buckle up and learn. 1/
1. The good-
The executive order stops separation of families at the border. Sort of. But I’ll get into that in a few.
(Sorry but that’s all the good)
2/
2- the bad.
It throws an insult at Congress
Sec 1-
It is unfortunate that Congress's failure to act and court orders have put the Administration in the position of separating alien families to effectively enforce the law.
