OBAMA should be more mindful when accusing Trump about the press & leaks:
1. It is common knowledge among journalists that the #Obama administration has prosecuted more leakers under the 1917 Espionage Act than all former presidents combined. But few admit this truth.
2. The Committee to Protect Journalists released its first comprehensive report on US press freedom.
They discovered that the Obama administration’s policies have undermined the role of the press in three fundamental ways.
3. First, the government’s war on leaks has not only intimidated whistleblowers, it has ensnared journalists.
4. Second, the Obama administration has undermined transparency by fighting against the release of essential info, such as the Justice Dept’s “drone memo,” which provided legal justification for attacks carried out around the world, including the targeting of American citizens.
5. Finally, revelations about the scope of the NSA surveillance program have had a global chilling effect, undermining the confidence of journalists and inhibiting their ability to communicate with their sources.
6. Former WaPo editor Leonard Downie Jr. wrote a report for the Comm. to Protect Journalists in 2013: “The Obama Administration & the Press.”
It's about the post 9/11 rise in US national security & surveillance infrastructure & the increase in a hostile reporting environment.
7. After Obama became President, his administration focused on filling its own websites & social media accounts with content instead of interacting w/ journalists. Instead of Obama's "transparency" they controlled the message.
8. But that wasn't enough. In 2011, Obama officials created an Insider Threat Task Force to catch leaks internally.
9. In James Goodall's book, Fighting for the Press, Goodale (chief counsel to the NYT during the time when its editors published the Pentagon Papers in 1971) argues that President Obama is worse for press freedom than former President Richard Nixon was.
10. Goodall stated that if the Obama administration indicted WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for conspiracy to violate the Espionage Act, Obama would have succeeded where Nixon failed by using the Espionage Act to “end-run” the First Amendment.
11. During the Obama Presidency, some well-known cases involved news corporations & journalists. Phone records were seized from several AP bureaus, spying was undertaken on FOX News analyst James Rosen (and his family), the case of James Risen, & spying of Sheryl Atkinson.
12. Barrack Hussein Obama has grown infamous for projections and lies.
The facts prove that the truth is something he refuses to own up to.
The Obama administration has prosecuted more leakers under the 1917 Espionage Act than all former presidents combined.
Bait & Switch; Guilty! [Thread]
The Left has stated that there was a Trump-Russia collusion which interfered with the Presidential election.
Initially, the investigation into this collusion saw all fingers pointing at Republicans.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
2. Last week, James Baker, former Chief Legal Counsel for the FBI who reported directly to FBI Director, James Comey (former Director), testified that he had a source who provided "information" on the Trump-Russia collusion.
3. James Baker named his source and provided surprising information about the events surrounding the source and the leaks.
Some of the Baker intel that was learned was brought forward by Rep. Devin Nunes today, October 7, 2018 on FOX News.
1. Anyone who watched Christine Blasey Ford 'testify' against Judge Brett Kavanaugh saw her many obvious inconsistencies and a complete lack of evidence.
Ford claims that she has a story to tell and was compelled to 'come forward.'
NOTHING that Ford said adds up to the truth.
2. Ford claims she has been suffering from anxiety & PTSD. Ford admitted that she had been in therapy since 2012, and she needed therapy because of a home remodel -- she wanted double doors on the home's front.
But the home's remodel was in 2008...
3. Ford displayed a mish-mash of behaviors during her testimony.
When she defended her lack of memory, she used her scientific background to explain how the mind behaves. This tactic was used because she has no evidence to back her story.
2. Demand Justice is led by Brian Fallon, who served as press secretary for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. The group’s digital team is headed by Gabrielle McCaffrey, who was a digital organizer for Clinton’s campaign.
3. Breitbart News outed this group on July 10, 2018:
The Demand Justice organization aims to focus on the federal court system, arguing that “our courts should be the place that we can trust to safeguard our rights and promote justice.” breitbart.com/big-government…
Senator Feinstein is unhinged.
Senator Dianne Feinstein has enjoyed YEARS (decades, even) of disrupting and interfering with American legislative processes.
Senator Feinstein leaves a trail of corruption, misconduct, and political bias.
[Thread]
2. Feinstein has a record of voting against Conservative Supreme Court nominations:
John Roberts
Samuel Alito
Neil Gorsuch
And now, she's attacking Brett Kavanaugh with a vengeance unseen in American history.
3. Senator Dianne Feinstein is using her Senate position as a means to subvert the Confirmation of a Supreme Court Justice through a false allegation that Judge Brett Kavanaugh has a sordid sexual past from his high school days, 30+ years ago.
The Deep State cabal has become more powerful through BLACKMAIL.
Blackmail is about control. Blackmail has created money streams, anti-American policies, powerful political appointments, and the ruination of careers. 1. [Thread beginning]
2. What was once a small spy-versus-spy clandestine operation has grown with the creation of the Internet and WWW.
Spying and black ops have increased exponentially from the time Bill & Hillary Clinton were in the White House.
Now, surveillance is a big business.
3. Surveillance is a big government enterprise, as well, costing taxpayers billions upon billions of dollars each year. From the Clintons through the Obama presidency, surveillance has been employed increasingly. Why?
1. Strzok & Page, along w/ other FBI agents, have been leaking stories to the press for years. Leaking information is ages old.
In the case of Strzok & Page, press leaks have been reported on since January 2018.
Strzok & Page engaged in this tactic against Trump since 2016.
2. On October 24, 2016, Lisa Page texted Peter Strzok:
“Article is out, but hidden behind paywall so can’t read it.”
“Wsj? Boy that was fast,” Strzok texted back, using the initials of the famed financial newspaper. “Should I ‘find’ it and tell the team?”
3. The text messages, which were reviewed by The Hill, show the two FBI agents discussed how they might make it appear they innocently discovered the article, such as through Google News alerts.
