1) Today, it’s tea. (We’re going to need a double dose.)
#TheGreatAwakeningWorldwide Torah study for #RoshHashanah Day 1.

Bottom line up front:
God loves you,
God loves us all,
God wins.

Monday, September 10, 2018.
2) Today is the Lords’s Day of awesome revelation.
3) It is the Jewish New Year.
I believe our duty as Jewish people is the same as anyone else.

Share the Light of God.
4) Maybe you are wondering how I know this or why I believe it.
5) I believe in sharing the light of God as a Jew, because for most of my life I ran away (at least mentally) from being a Jew, because to be a Jew meant to be a victim like in the Holocaust.
6) To be a Jew meant to be like my Bubbie, who was in Auschwitz, and God knows what they did to her but on the way out the sadistic “Dr.” Josef Mengele said, you stinking Jew, you will never have children at all.
dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3…
7) My hands shake like hers did.
8) As a child I learned that religion was about blind obedience. To my father, to my teachers and to God.

I did not believe that it was right to dominate people in the name of “teaching” them holiness.
9) My aunt was the first woman in our family to get a PhD and she was the only self-identified feminist.

I adored her logical brain and spunk.

Walking one day among the cherry trees—
10) I told her I no longer wanted to be a Jew.

She said, fine, but you owe it to yourself to explore your heritage first, don’t you?
11) Now keep in mind, I had gone to yeshiva (religious school) all my life.

But when someone is forcing you, your brain simply rebels.
12) I don’t think my parents, teachers, etc. thought of it as “brainwashing,” “mind control,” “domination” or anything like that.

I know they thought of it as love—to keep Judaism alive and me safe from bad influences.
13) Everything the post-Holocaust generation did, they did in defiance of Hitler.

“You lost!”

You could hear them thinking it, in angry, defiant rage.

“You lost!”
14) But Hitler didn’t really lose completely.

In fact, he did quite a bit of damage.

It was like a mass rape.

He invaded our communities, and in the end most of us were helpless.
15) Blame and finger pointing. “You could have done more!”
“You let the people die so that you could have a State of Israel!”

These are real fights.

The wounds are still bleeding.
16) But as for me, I didn’t want any part of it.

I wanted to go...shopping. (That’s a cool rainbow purse at Forever 21 that made me think of @LaTanster)
17) I was so into branding.
Branding, in any form or fashion, was my escape.
18) You can ask my mother.
This is literally how I was.
And what I wanted.
19) I got into a joint program at the New School/Parson’s School of Design in New York City.

All I ever wanted, was New York.
20) But there were signs that the life would not be good for me.
21) Things happened to warn me away.
22) Let’s fast forward three decades.
23) I became a writer, a sociologist, a brand specialist, a government worker (all opinions my own), a wife and a mom.

Many different life experiences and lessons.
24) But nobody ever taught me that the ordinary brands I knew, the designs I would one day buy...would be soaked in the occult.

This mug cost $36.
It alludes to dissociative identity disorder.
Great.
Starbucks mug. The Eye of Ra. Occult.

(Also on shoes.)
26) (sorry, skipped a number)
27) Starbucks logo, a mermaid with her legs in the air and I know there is other stuff as well.
28) Owl mug, part of a set. Another symbol of occult shit.
Not a clue.
29) Who was it that taught me to see the occult meaning behind so many things?
30) It wasn’t my yeshiva teachers.
31) It isn’t part of any Jewish discussion I have ever had.

In fact all this stuff sounds so crazy, nobody in my family even wants to hear about it.

So how did I learn?
32) Very honestly — yes, there are tons of blogs and websites out there — but I learned from a courageous woman who stepped forward last year to share her story.

Sarah Ruth Ashcraft.
@SaRaAshcraft
33) I learned from someone who had no interest in controlling me. Imposing her version of “salvation.” Dominating my brain.

She is a victim who escaped a terrible and certain fate.
34) The experience of learning how much of my “world of brands”—including celebrities and the false idols they worship—is tied up in evil occult symbology, is directly linked with the generosity of one human being in mortal danger herself.
35) Sarah, along with many other generous people here on Twitter, have helped me to re-examine my own heritage. Things I never learned or never understood at all.
36) It is in your honor (your collective honor) that I share Deut. 29:13-14:

“Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath; but with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day.”
37) God is coming for all of us.
This is a promise.
38) Because of your collective goodness and faith, I now understand the entire purpose of the Torah: to bring the world to complete God-consciousness.

ou.org/torah/mitzvot/…
39) I now understand what the Rebbe said when he said this.
40) This Rosh HaShanah, please know how much God knows and loves each and every human being, flawed as we are.

Thank you for your work in helping to create a brave new world of peace, awe, and holiness.

(End.)

I think this Tore is a fake. She has been posting slides from a presentation widely leaked and reported on.

She talks about being a localization specialist because they're good at blackmail. That doesn't make any sense. Localization has to do with creating strategies that appeal to local populations. From a development perspective it is correlated with resilience. There is no magic.
In her words: "What I did was something called Localization or L-10N. So localization strategy is you find a group of people...you kind of try to get in their mind...you use that to your advantage...so if I wanna blackmail you...I will know your deepest, darkest fears"

1) Starting a near-midnight thread, basically to help me collect my thoughts on a variety of related topics.
2) I would really prefer to just do research and then go out with that. But oh well
3) When you see all this I think you'll understand why my head is exploding a little. And it's hard to just stay focused on one thing.

1) Should we alter the historical narrative to make its victims feel better?

It’s #coffeetime

2) I remember when the local school changed Columbus Day to Indigenous People’s Day.

In-di-gen-ous.

Hard to spell.
3) So I guess this is how you have to teach it now.
