John McDonnell, in response to which woman he admired (his mum): "Her lasting advice was to always be kind. It's a lesson I repeat to myself on a daily basis." Not sure if that's the first word most at Westminster would attach to him... #mumsnet
And McDonnell on the deeply divisive trans/ women's rights question: "I am really trying hard to fully understand the range of views that have been expressed on this..." #mumsnet
Shadow chancellor describes Bex Bailey as "incredibly courageous" and adds on Labour sexual abuse allegations: "The NEC is meeting as we speak to discuss rule changes based upon Karen Monahan's report, which I understand will implement what Bex has recommended herself."
John McDonnell: "I am hoping that the next leader of the party will be a woman." How much?! #mumsnet
John McDonnell totally owns the #mumsnet biscuit question. "My Mum worked behind the biscuit counter in BHS and we lived off broken biscuits, in particular rich tea." His preparedness for this says it all. Jeremy Corbyn take note.
