There’s over 400 cultural groups in Nigeria. There’s almost 200 million of us.

I need ever Nigerian in America to stop pretending you can fairly speak for all of the #Naija people in the world.

If you associate with the 419 criminals and the people who look down on Black Americans, ok, speak for you. It’s a common prejudice BUT IT IS NOT UNIVERSAL.

I need you to stop - especially if you’re out here doing things in the media that represent African Americans.

Because we need to talk about why you’re accepting roles to represent people you hate. The portrayal of them as sympathetic doesn’t read as accurate when you do this.

I need you to think.
