Things might feel a bit bleak. Kavanaugh might be in, Rosenstein might be out, and both would be horrible outcomes for democracy.
So let’s put things into perspective.
[THREAD]
1/ The Kavanaugh fight is not over. Even if he gets CONFIRMED, the fight is not over. He stands credibly accused of sexual assault, and he owes lots and lots of money to…we don’t know who.
There’s also this business of HIS (maybe) stolen emails:
2/ Dr. Ford will likely appear before Congress…and the GOP may bring in outside counsel (note spelling) because THERE ARE NO WOMEN REPUBLICANS ON THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE. This is HORRIBLE optics. It will cost them in November. Bigly.
3/ Meanwhile, Trump bit his tongue for 24 whole hours before tweeting dickishly like the rapist he is, maligning Dr. Ford. His idiot son (the older one; sorry, should be more specific) has not been kind, either.
4/ Speaking of Junior, he’s been tweeting like a drunken sailor the last few days—like Kimberly’s making him sleep on the couch. He isn’t usually THIS chatty on here. Is he perhaps aware of an imminent indictment looming?
5/ Because, again: JUNIOR MET WITH RUSSIAN AGENTS TO GET DIRT ON HRC. And that ain’t legal. I know it, you know it, he knows it, and Mueller damned sure knows it. One of these days, he WILL be indicted….for that, and likely a lot more.
6/ Let’s review.
Of the seven key figures in Trump/Russia: Manafort was convicted on 8 counts and then pled guilty to more crimes; Cohen pleaded guilty to 8 counts; both of them are cooperating. Cohen was likely doing so YESTERDAY.
7/ Manafort was AT the Trump Tower meeting with Junior and the Russians. He knows what happened there. So does Mueller.
Why is this taking so long? Because there's MORE than we realize. It'll be worth the wait.
8/ You know who else was there? Jared Kushner. Who, rumor has it, has been quietly cooperating with Mueller since about Christmas. He’s been pin-drop quiet this year, no? Yeah, maybe that’s by design.
(I wonder if Kushner ratted out Ivanka, too? I kinda hope he did).
9/ Jeff Sessions, another key Trump/Russia figure, is allegedly a mole for Mueller—which is one reason Trump hates him and wants him gone. He knows he can’t trust him. He's an odious traitor, but he's not a mobster.
10/ (Shit, I keep forgetting the traitor Mike Flynn. Fck him in his stupid ugly seditious face. Good LORD, what an unattractive man he is.)
11/ So, of the 7 key players, 5—Manafort, Cohen, Sessions, Flynn, and Kushner—are believed to be cooperating. That means Donald Trump pere et fils are left behind, waiting for those 5 buses to roll over them.
12/ A few weeks ago, Trump had two Hail Mary plays available: pardon everyone, or fire Sessions/Rosenstein/Mueller. After the genius Manafort plea deal, the pardon option is off the table.
13/ This explains the plant of the Rosenstein story in the credulous NYT. Trump is gonna try and pink-slip Rod to get to Bobby. It won’t work.
14/ To beat the dead horse: of the seven key players in Trump/Russia, THREE are now convicted felons, and FIVE are cooperating. I know we want to see mass arrests of all of these traitors, but guys? MUELLER IS WINNING. WE ARE WINNING.
15/ Of the other traitors: Mike Pence was picked by Manafort, who was picked by Putin. The heat WILL get turned up on that creep in the coming weeks/months. Remember, Pence lawyered up way early, before the rest of these idiots realized they’d need to.
16/ Pence replaced Chris Christie as chair of the Transition Team. Chris Christie, whose name came up in a story about money laundering in Malaysia: businessinsider.com/jho-low-malays…
17/ Roger Stone will get indicted one of these weeks, too, and join his old business partner Paul Manafort in the hoosegow.
18/ Ronan Farrow has The Apprentice bootleg tapes, in which Trump allegedly drops the n-word so many times, you'd think he was recording a hip hop record. (I actually forgot all about this!)
19/ Last and also least: Trump’s penis is smaller than average (duh) and resembles Toad from Mario Kart. He has Yeti pubes. He is bad in bed.
DONALD TRUMP IS A LOUSY LAY.
The battle is not yet won, true. Keep fighting. Call your Senators re: Kavanaugh. Register people to vote. VOTE VOTE VOTE. Don’t take anything for granted. But you should feel optimistic now, because WE ARE WINNING. #somuchwinning

Let’s talk about the House of Kavanaugh—specifically, the hefty mortgage on said house.
[THREAD]
1/ In 2006, Brett & Ashley Kavanaugh bought a house for $1.22m. They put $245k down, a number that does not appear on his financial disclosures of 2005, which show net worth of $91k.
2/ The mortgage payments ($4600/mo.) alone were more than what Brett Kavanaugh took home in 2006 after taxes. His wife did not add enough to the mix to make up the difference.
In light of the epic (in every sense of the word) NYT story on Trump's tax fraud, let's have a quick review of all the legal troubles these traitors are now in:
[THREAD]
1/ PAUL MANAFORT, Trump’s campaign chair (May-Aug 2016): found guilty on eight counts, pleaded guilty on a bunch more as part of a plea deal in which he must cooperate with Mueller. Met w/Mueller this week, in fact.
2/ MIKE FLYNN, deputy chair of Trump Transition Team, natsec adviser: pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Awaiting sentencing. Will one day get out of prison. Will always be an ugly, ugly man.
Pleased to announce a slate of #DirtyRubles Trump/Russia events, on three of the next five Sundays:
The event in Madison, my hometown, is taking place at an undisclosed secret location [insert Dick Cheney joke here]. If you'd like to come, you need to RSVP: facebook.com/events/6757800…
Let's talk about the Putin/Alt-Right/GOP propaganda machine—the REAL Devil's Triangle—as it relates to Brett #Kavanaugh:
[THREAD]
1/ This cozy little messaging arrangement, which operates happily in the dark most of the time, is now being exposed because of the fatally flawed candidate Donald Trump has nominated to the Supreme Court.
2/ The problem with Kavanaugh is manifold: first, that he had six-figure credit card debts paid off by creditors whose identity we still don’t know; second, that he lied during his initial testimony...
Let’s talk about #Kavanaugh. This is why he should not be confirmed. And it has nothing to do with his political beliefs.
[THREAD]
1/ #Kavanaugh was not on the list of judges given to Trump by Judicial Watch, but he was tapped anyway. This was after Trump said he’d “study” (hahaha) judicial positions on various things—namely whether or not a POTUS can be indicted.
2/ When @ChuckGrassley says he didn't know about Christine Blasey Ford, he may well be telling the truth. The letter from those 65 women was likely produced ahead of time to defend #Kavanaugh against a DIFFERENT accuser(s) we don't yet know about.
Let's talk about Vladimir Putin and his relationship to terror.
[THREAD]
1/ Vladimir Putin succeeded Boris Yeltsin as president in 1999, on a wave of popularity generated by his decisive handling of the response to a series of terrorist attacks on Russian apartment buildings in September 1999, when he was prime minister.
2/ This was after the First Chechen War, a brutal suppression of the Chechnya independence movement in which some 100,000 Chechens were slaughtered by Russian troops.
(Bill Clinton compared Yeltsin to Lincoln while underwriting the operation 🤮).
