Im going to talk BTS and K-Pop and #metoo and #TimesUp and the American music industry and how all of its related in a few...

So after all that noise all day, we need to get to a problem that is just as worse - the acceptance of BTS and K-Pop as a bromide from all the changing metrics in the American music industry and its issues. It's only going to create more headache.

The American Music Industry and the rest of the entertainment industry in the last several years put their bank on the Hallu Movement - a way of seeing popular culture and technology via Korean sensibilities.

There is a reason why this is so. Its because sadly - South Korea (until very recently) is a "Colony" (of sorts) of the United States. That all changed when the former president left the blue house under massive scandal.

Well, you say - Novid you cant just say that South Korea was a "Colony"! that's racist! They were a free people after the Korean War...
And thats where you kinda get your answer why it is a "Colony"

It was because of the Korean War that the US and South Korea became linked. But that all changed when the former president was impeached. While South Korea was in turmoil, the North should have attacked. But they didnt.

Something was beginning to change for decades on end - and it was the way the US and US companies and US Cultural Influence was on the wane but not fully weakened in that country.

The South Koreans, unlike many other nations in asia with the exception of Japan, took back there country and elected new leaders. The new leader has proven himself despite being a liberal in US context to be a game changer in getting rid of corruption and ending the Korean issue

But there are many major problems still in the nation and aspects of this is shown in the Hallu movement. BTS is not a wholly created Korean product. BTS is partly created by a Westernised group of music producers connected with the heads of the Music Industry here.

Aspects of the fashion industry in the US and Europe mislabel Japanese inventions as Korean discoveries.

The fanbase of K-Pop resembles a lot of post #MeToo and post #timesup sensibilities and pretty much help facilitate the over all feminzation movement that many US ad agencies are want to do (they used a lot of these things in Korea during the former presidents reign)

The American Music Industry here now, are supporting the weakest artists in the game. You can even see it in the recent announcement on the LA 3 day shindig that [Adult Swim] Planning. Tripple Redd over Daniel Curry? REALLY THO?

And part of this weakness is the BTS thing. For a cynical industry such as ours who already lost some of the great artists of our day and is pretty much a ghost infested hellpool, BTS reminds them of the good old days.

But BTS is plain. Some old bangers here or there. But to an industry who didnt recognize the fact that the Hip-Hop side of the game were putting out bangers every fucking Tuesday for 15 fucking years (1995 to 2010), BTS is a godsend for these failsons in the music game atm.

In reality, and sadly - knowing that J-Pop has the more diverse line up and the better female and male singers and songs - and allow them to produce their own songs and genres, its more of our nations tendency to put the "Good Asian" marker on the Korean music world....

because they behave and do what they are told and sing where they are sung act. And while that may be fine for some i take a more critical eye and deeply concerned look into why the American music industry and rest of the entertainment here put Korea/China over Japan/Rest of Asia

And some of the answers i see are not fucking pretty.
There was a reason why Girls Generation was stopped at a airport.
There is a reason why BTS is popular.
There is a reason why K-Pop fans in the states are the future look see into how women treat men after #MeToo.

What do you do when a people show that they are not what they say they want you to be?
There is a reason why certain folk dont want change.
Now go do your own research. I said enough about these things to last me a life time.
