That female reporter who jumped in willingly to ask a “question on trade” after Trump shut down the female reprter asking a question about Kavanaugh: shame on you! When you see a fellow reporter demeaned & shut down like that, ask the Q Trump refuses to answer until he answers!
Trump is a danger to ALL media. Unless and until US media work together to stand up to his bullying as evidenced above, he will continue to bully and endanger them. And his misogyny will be laughed off by men on the podium. Will male reporters support female colleagues? Stand up!
And I say that as someone who reported in #Egypt for 10 years during which I would yell questions at our dictator of 30yrs Hosni Mubarak until he answered my question. He used to call me the “troublemaker from Reuters” and not as a compliment.
My future memoir will include a chapter “Fun” Female Reporter Stuff in which I recall the shit I’ve encountered e.g. being sexually assaulted by a male guard during a Gaddafi news conference in #Libya in 1996 & being told by fellow reporter hearing guards say “Just shoot her.”
