Ok, all. It's officially Wednesday, so here's what's next w/ #Kavanaugh.
1. The FBI investigation will likely be concluded today. The report will likely be filed (TBD) w/o an interview Dr. Ford, or classmates listed by Deborah Ramirez, and no Julie Swetnick.
In other words, we can hope for the best when it comes to the investigation, but we're mostly likely going to get the worst.
There's also debate on whether the report will be released to the public. Mitch McConnell says hell no. Other Senators disagree. Keep this in mind for some of our next steps.
2. McConnell has said there will be a vote this week. In order for him to do so, he has to file a motion to end debate on the nomination. This will likely take place today.
🚨 3. Which means the final vote will likely take place on Friday or Saturday🚨
Make sure you mark this down, and make sure your friends/families/colleagues are aware of this timeline too.
We have VERY limited time, and we need to make sure everyone's all on the same page.
4. So your job? Continue calling your Senators. This will fall into four categories:
- The Democrats who have already said yes, and won't flip no matter what.
- The red state Democrats.
- The potential GOP flips.
- The GOP senators who will vote yes, no matter what.
a. For those with Dem Senators who have already said yes, and won't flip no matter what.
* Call and affirm you support their votes and their work.
* Encourage they keep fighting, and persuade their colleagues, a la how Coons (sort of) persuaded Flake.
Script.
B. For those with specific red state Democrats - Donnelly, Tester, Nelson, Manchin, Heitkamp
* For Donnelly/Tester/Nelson, call and confirm you support their no votes. They're definitely getting hell from conservatives.
* For Manchin/Heitkamp: Push for no votes.
Scripts.
Remember: all of these senators are in tight races. If they're already said they'll vote no on Kavanaugh, donate to their races.
C. For those represented by potential GOP flips: Flake, Murkowski, Collins.
I don't trust Jeff Flake, but encourage him to vote No anyway. Both Collins and Murkowski have made specific moves which seem to suggest they're not comfortable w/ how this has played out.
Scripts.
Remember, if Collins DOESN'T represent you, you can have a significant impact still, by donating here.
7. If you're a DC resident who wants to get involved, follow and contact @HerdOnHill, sharpish.
They help deliver letters for constituents to critical senators. This is another way to help facilitate contact to key swing votes, even if they don't represent you.
8. Don't forget to continue to call your state legislatures about state-level protections on areas that might come under threat IF Kavanaugh is confirmed to the bench, e.g. abortion.
🚨 I can't stress enough: we need all hands on deck. If seated, Kavanaugh would be THE swing vote on many cases, and as a relatively young Justice, he'd be there for generations.
Don't sit this out. Don't assume a Justice Kavanaugh can be impeached. We need you NOW. 🚨
As usual, call tips.
* Don't call Senators who don't represent you.
* At this point, it doesn't matter if you call DC or district offices. Just try to through however you can. Try EVERY number.
* If you can't call, email/fax/use Resistbot. Just make contact.

I'll also continue updating here with news that will likely break over the next few hours.

Starting to see the (inevitable) hot takes come out on why the Senate Democrats couldn't stop Kavanaugh.
Say it with me now: 🗣 They don't have the majority. 🗣
But good news. We can change that. Here's a quick refresher.
1. At present, the Senate breakdown is 51/49, with the Democrats in the majority.
(Picture (C) - CNN)
2. Confirmation votes and specific forms of legislation usually only require a simple majority or 51 votes, which is *why* it's been so hard to stop cabinet appointments and parts of the Trump agenda.
It's also why it feels like we've had to beg Republicans every key vote.
Candidly: we're not off to a good start. Clear bias as Grassley opens by stating there wasn't a "whiff" of allegations when Kavanaugh was investigated by the FBI, and scolds Feinstein for not revealing the letter. In front of Dr. Ford.
McConnell is currently praising the integrity of Chuck Grassley, and letting loose on Senate Democrats.
Is also criticizing the veracity of Dr. Ford's story, and trying to paint her as unreasonable for having accommodation requests.
McConnell: "But the smear campaign didn't just stop there!"
McConnell is now trying to smear @RonanFarrow@JaneMayerNYer's New Yorker story about Deborah Rodriguez. Claiming the allegation is so thin, NYT refused to run the Rodriguez story.
