#Calexit Schmexit - the ongoing stench of a Putin pants load. #CalexitIsAKremlinOperation

There was a recent spike in the volume of tweets containing #Calexit. The hashtags #CalConCon and #YesCalifornia are also prominent.

Activity is largely driven by two "official" #Calexit accounts - LouisJMarinelli and YesCalifornia. Let's look at the users amplifying them.

Here are the accounts that have most frequently tweeted #Calexit etc or RT'd/replied to LouisJMarinelli/YesCalifornia in the last ten days.

Some of the pro-#Calexit accounts are interesting. Let's take a look at KathyForCal. #CalexitIsAKremlinConJob

Upon closer inspection, KathyForCal is not the first account to have tweeted a tweet with that exact text. #Calexit #Copypasta

Copying existing #Calexit tweets appears to be KathyForCal's habit. Here are word-for-word copies of YesCalifornia/LouisJMarinelli tweets.

Some of the #Calexit tweets are modified slightly - note the removal of the quoted tweet and the addition of an image by KathyForCal.

Here's another example where KathyForCal copied an existing tweet and removed the quoted #Calexit tweet. #CalexitIsAKremlinOperation

nealfjr2 is also interesting - has tweeted that same text on multiple occasions, usually out of context with what he's RTing/replying to.

Worth noting: nealfjr2, along with several of the accounts on the list of #Calexit amplifiers, appears to be right rather than left-wing.

Another interesting account on the list - TheMadYam. Bot that tweets hashtag spam and mentions Sean Spicer and dippingdots. Also #Calexit.

Top 20 hashtags tweeted by TheMadYam. #Calexit sticks out, making me wonder whether boosting that hashtag is the intent rather than humor.

And now a word from #Calexit maven Louis Marinelli, recently returned from Russia. #CalexitIsAKremlinConJob

#Calexit figurehead Louis Marinelli has been known to tweet some interesting material from RT/Russia Today. #CalexitIsAKremlinOperation

Here's an example of a major news story from Russia Today that Louis Marinelli felt the need to retweet. #CalexitIsAKremlinConJob #Calexit

Marinelli seems fond of RT articles that mention Hillary Clinton negatively. Seems #Calexit-related, I'm sure. #CalexitIsAKremlinOperation

#Calexit spokescreature Louis Marinelli's endorsement of Dana Rohrabacher is very interesting consider both are tied to Russia and Assange.
