(2) This reminds me the 1960's on college campuses. The professors "laid down" in the face of radical protestor demands, rather than being responsible adults. We all saw (and see) how that went.
(3) Just over one generation later, the academy has become completely leftist, and the students run the asylum. Or perhaps as accurately, the academy has become the asylum.
(4) The NFL is about to head down that same path, if they don't commit suicide-by-kneeling first. Can you imagine the outrage if any of this money goes to #BlackLivesMatter or any other Soros-funded leftist organization -- which it almost certainly will?
(5) To many sane Americans, being forced to fund such vile and anti-American entities is akin to being forced to fund "Planned Parenthood" to kill babies, or to fund many other vile leftist causes.
(6) This will be utterly unacceptable. The ownership may have appeased their players (who still don't seem to be grateful), but are only further angering their fans (and former fans).
(7) What happened to leaders actually leading? Where is Roger Goodell on this? Where are any of the owners, who apparently have figured out how to be at least financially successful in the rest of their life? Do they not have an ounce of collective common sense?
(8) And why are they seemingly about to give the commissioner an extension? He has completely botched the biggest crisis in the NFL since at least the strike in the 80's. This may be bigger, and he has certainly handled it worse. But yet, a new contract?
(9) At this point, the NFL owners are no different than any of the other big joint monopolies / cartels in America. All they care about is keeping their power and influence, and they like Goodell because he's too weak to actually challenge them on anything.
(10) What they fail to realize is that while Goodell is weak and will do whatever the owners (and now perhaps the players) ask, their former fan base will not. Have they not seen the pictures of the empty seats? Surely they must have. They live it every week.
(11) Do they really think they can survive this? Don't they realize what type of precedent they're setting here? They're basically "negotiating with terrorists" by letting the players hold them hostage like this -- and negotiating quite badly at that.
(12) The irony here is that the once-powerful #NFL is submitting to leftist players who held them hostage by taking a knee, while once-powerful Europe is similarly submitting to the Muslims who are holding them hostage through their insane demands and required accommodations.
(13) When adults fail to be adults, and when respect for authority goes out the window, such things are the natural and necessary end results.
And with America herself facing many perils both at home and abroad, this is hopefully a lesson for all of us.
(1) Many voters claim to be religious, but don't understand the Gospel. They seem to think that their own "morality" is what makes them right with God, and that their fear of God is what keeps them right with God. #AlabamaSenateElection#AlabamaSpecialElection@MooreSenate
(2) Wisdom absolutely begins with the fear of God. That's true. But while we start there, we must not end there. Especially when it causes us to miss the Gospel.
(3) The Gospel is the "good news" that, even though we have all sinned and fallen short of God's perfect standard, Jesus nevertheless took our place on the Cross.
(1) Debbie Wesson Gibson called for Judge Moore to be impeached back in JANUARY 2016, for his defense of Biblical marriage. These screenshots are from the FB page of Donna Wesson Smalley, who I think is Debbie Wesson Gibson's sister.
(3) As her FB page also showed, Donna Wesson Smalley was an ENORMOUS Bernie Sanders supporter. It legitimately took me 10-15 minutes to scroll through all of her posts from January 2016 alone, almost all of which were overtly in support of Sen. Sanders.
(1) I'm not sure where you stand with the Lord, but I'm firmly convinced that Trump was chosen by the Lord to free His people from the grasps of the left. All leaders are from God (Romans 13:1), although some are for good and others are as more of a punishment.
(2) Where people often get confused is by thinking that someone has to be a "good moral person" to be USED BY GOD or to be saved, but neither is true. Granted, if you are truly saved, God will change your heart both immediately and over time. (E.g., Ezekiel 36:27; 1 Thess 4:3-8.)
(3) In Trump's case, I don't think he's a Christian -- yet. But he is most certainly being used by God -- and this is not without precedent.
(1b) Here's the link to the underlying article, if you're interested. The full caption wouldn't display in the preview, which is why I'm sending it along separately.
(1) Sure thing. To the first part, about the War of Gog and Magog, Ezekiel chapters 38-39 is a great place to start.
(2) And of course for this to happen at all, there had to BE an Israel again. Israel had ceased to exist prior to the Balfour Declaration of 1917, which opened the door for the Jews to begin to return to the homeland.
(3) But at first, it was a trickle. 60,000 Jews in 1918. 174,610 in 1931. And so on. Here are some numbers, which I assume are accurate but haven't checked.
(1) #Jerusalem is the rightful capital of #Israel. Today, President Trump formally declared something that God decreed a long time ago. (See, e.g., Matthew 5:34)
(2) The Islamic world is up in arms about this common sense proclamation. The "religion of peace" has called for "days of rage" in response to a simple proclamation of truth.
(3) Going a step further, Hamas says President Trump has "opened the gates of hell" through this action. (I suppose that's not surprising, come from the Religion of Pieces.)
