(1) Many voters claim to be religious, but don't understand the Gospel. They seem to think that their own "morality" is what makes them right with God, and that their fear of God is what keeps them right with God. #AlabamaSenateElection #AlabamaSpecialElection @MooreSenate
(2) Wisdom absolutely begins with the fear of God. That's true. But while we start there, we must not end there. Especially when it causes us to miss the Gospel.
(3) The Gospel is the "good news" that, even though we have all sinned and fallen short of God's perfect standard, Jesus nevertheless took our place on the Cross.
(4) He took on flesh, as a Jew born under the Old Testament Mosaic Law, and lived the perfect life that we could not live.
(5) Nevertheless, while doing nothing to deserve death, He was crucified and died IN OUR PLACE, at least in the place of those who have put their faith and trust in Him. He took our place on the Cross, the righteous for the unrighteous.
(6) And in doing so, when we put our faith and trust in Him and His finished work on the Cross, in His death, burial, and resurrection, then by His stripes are we healed.
(7) Faith in Christ, as accompanied by the regeneration of the Holy Spirit, is how we are made right with God.
(7b) This is the ONLY way in which anyone may come to the Father, or be made right with God.
(8) But what the Gospel also teaches us is that we have been forgiven tremendously -- beyond our wildest dreams. We can scarcely begin to imagine the depth of our sin, the horror of our own rebellion against the God who created all things.
(9) The Gospel also tells us that we must forgive others, those who sin even against us, AND PARTICULARLY OUR BROTHERS AND SISTER IN CHRIST.

Based on all available public evidence, that DOES include Judge Roy Moore.
(10) Failing to forgive someone who God has already forgive sets you up as a higher judge than God Himself, as a higher authority than the One who created -- and who will judge -- all people.
(11) This is why we should base our votes on the issues, and on how someone will govern, rather than expecting them to have lived a "perfect life" in the past.
(12) No one has lived a perfect life. We have all sinned. We have all fallen short.

The difference is that those who are in Christ have already been forgiven by God, and those who are apart from Christ have not been forgiven.
(12b) The latter group is still under God's wrath:

"He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36)
(12c) But yet, anyone may repent and come to Christ. (2 Peter 3:9; Acts 2:21)
(13) So, while a person's CURRENT CHARACTER AND BEHAVIOR MAY BE AN INDICATION OF HOW THEY WILL GOVERN AND BEHAVE IN THE FUTURE, a person's past should not be held against them -- especially if that does not represent who they are TODAY, and if God has already forgiven those sins.
(14) Thus, even if Roy Moore actually DID the things he was accused of (which I'm almost certain that he didn't), they were all over 30 years ago.
(15) Imagine your own life 30 years ago. Or for that matter, 10 years ago.
(16) Was it perfect?
(17) Perfect by God's standards? Ever steal? Ever been angry at someone with cause? Ever look upon someone who wasn't your spouse with lust? Ever bear false witness against someone, or smear their character without evidence? Even someone from "the other" political party?
(18) That's what I thought. At least if you were being honest with yourself.
(19) You've sinned, too.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not suggesting that Roy Moore is guilty of these particular accusations against him, but he has most certainly sinned, as has Doug Jones, Hillary Clinton, and the rest of us. (See 1 John 1:8.)
(20) And you need God's forgiveness, too.
(21) Forgiveness that can only be had through faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
(22) And therein lies the biggest difference between Judge Moore and Doug Jones:
(23) Assuming that Judge Moore's faith is as genuine as is shown on the outside, then he has been forgiven of all of his sins, whatever he may have done wrong in his life. But Doug Jones, based on his outward convictions and professions, most certainly is not.
(24) Yes, he claims to attend a United Methodist "Church." So does Hillary Clinton. But the Bible clearly warns about such departures from the true faith, which is known as the Great Apostasy:
(24b) "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith . . ." (1 Timothy 4:1a)

(25) And he claims to care about "the least among us" (well, except for those unborn babies). Well, here's what God CLEARLY showed me on that just over two years ago -- and this is coming from a man who used to think this way myself.

(26) Despite what he might say about himself, Doug Jones most certainly is no disciple (student) of Jesus Christ, let alone a regenerate man who is led by the HOLY Spirit.
(26b) And those who do "not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His." (Romans 8:9)

(27) And so, apart from those things, Baby Killer Doug Jones -- that's who he is TODAY -- is still living under the wrath of God.
(28) That is his CURRENT spiritual state. That's not something that he may or may not (almost certainly the latter) have done over 30 years ago. That's him today. That who he is. And absent a work of God, that's also how he'll govern.
(29) So going forward, he will continue to support completely anti-God policies, such as abortion, and homosexuality, and the perversion of God's definition of marriage, and likely the hatred of Israel as well.
(30) What many voters fail to understand is that even one unforgiven sin is enough to sentence a person to hell, even a sin of omission. No amount of good works or human "love" can make up for that.

See Matthew 25:31-33, 41-46; and the link above explaining that passage, in #25.
(30b) And quite frankly, most Americans -- including many "professing" "Christians," especially those on the "social justice gospel" works-driven left -- fail to understand this as well.
(30c) That's why I'm writing here.
(30d) And also, and perhaps more importantly, because the Lord put it on my heart to do so.
(31) No amount of good deeds can overcome even one single unforgiven sin, any more than a doctor can get away with one murder just because he or she has "saved" thousands of lives in the operating room.
(31b) If not forgiven through faith in Christ, the sin must be eternally punished by God. Otherwise, God would cease to be fair and just. (Romans 3:26)
(31c) And ironically, at some level, liberals and leftists get this when they demand absolute perfection from political figures.
(31d) But they go astray in that they replace God with government, which is what government seems to be for most of them. Socialism and Progressivism are simply political forms of "My Best Life Now," an attempt to create a heaven (utopia, as they'd call it) on Earth.
(32) But heaven would not be heaven without its greatest attraction:

The Presence and Glory of God.

(1) Debbie Wesson Gibson called for Judge Moore to be impeached back in JANUARY 2016, for his defense of Biblical marriage. These screenshots are from the FB page of Donna Wesson Smalley, who I think is Debbie Wesson Gibson's sister.

(2) I personally visited the page myself to verify that it was real. Here's the link, at least for as long as they leave it up:

(3) As her FB page also showed, Donna Wesson Smalley was an ENORMOUS Bernie Sanders supporter. It legitimately took me 10-15 minutes to scroll through all of her posts from January 2016 alone, almost all of which were overtly in support of Sen. Sanders.

(1) I'm not sure where you stand with the Lord, but I'm firmly convinced that Trump was chosen by the Lord to free His people from the grasps of the left. All leaders are from God (Romans 13:1), although some are for good and others are as more of a punishment.
(2) Where people often get confused is by thinking that someone has to be a "good moral person" to be USED BY GOD or to be saved, but neither is true. Granted, if you are truly saved, God will change your heart both immediately and over time. (E.g., Ezekiel 36:27; 1 Thess 4:3-8.)
(3) In Trump's case, I don't think he's a Christian -- yet. But he is most certainly being used by God -- and this is not without precedent.

(1) The missing piece of the @MooreSenate yearbook story:

Gloria Allred was the attorney responsible for Roe v. Wade. This was her "life's work." This is her motivation. #ALSen #GloriaAllred #BeverlyYoungNelson #ForgedYearbook #ProLife #TheLeftIsEvil
(1b) Here's the link to the underlying article, if you're interested. The full caption wouldn't display in the preview, which is why I'm sending it along separately.

(2) Judge Moore is a strong committed Christian -- and a strong pro-life advocate.

(1) Sure thing. To the first part, about the War of Gog and Magog, Ezekiel chapters 38-39 is a great place to start.
(2) And of course for this to happen at all, there had to BE an Israel again. Israel had ceased to exist prior to the Balfour Declaration of 1917, which opened the door for the Jews to begin to return to the homeland.
(3) But at first, it was a trickle. 60,000 Jews in 1918. 174,610 in 1931. And so on. Here are some numbers, which I assume are accurate but haven't checked.

(1) #Jerusalem is the rightful capital of #Israel. Today, President Trump formally declared something that God decreed a long time ago. (See, e.g., Matthew 5:34)

(2) The Islamic world is up in arms about this common sense proclamation. The "religion of peace" has called for "days of rage" in response to a simple proclamation of truth.

(3) Going a step further, Hamas says President Trump has "opened the gates of hell" through this action. (I suppose that's not surprising, come from the Religion of Pieces.)

(1) The Christian pursues holiness and righteousness, not inclusion and acceptance of sin.
(2) Want proof? Here's Jesus speaking on the issue: “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word ... He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me." (Jn 14:23-24)
(3) And the Apostle Peter: “As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, 'You shall be holy, for I am holy.'” (1 Peter 1:14-16)
