2/ We must demand that the special counsel's investigation and its work product are preserved, as @NormEisen and @FredWertheimer have argued. cnn.com/2017/08/10/opi…
3/ We must demand the House immediately begin bipartisan hearings in the Judiciary Committee on abuse of power and obstruction of justice. These hearings could lead to impeachment proceedings- and many will argue at this time that they likely should.
4/ Finally, we must then demand the creation of a Senate Select Committee to investigate all matters involved in the Russia scandals and Trump's obstruction of the investigation. Only such a broad and independent committee would be able to handle matters of obstruction.
5/ All of this will require massive, sustained public outcry and pressure. The initial demonstrations must only be the beginning of a series of protests, sit-ins and other peaceful displays of public outrage.
