*This* is the kind of data analysis this subversion investigation demands - particularly with regards to the media. I'm hoping FinCEN, IRS, #cryptocurrencies & the FBI uncover enough obvious treason to unravel the rest, but showing these correlations should be devastating.
Because the media element can operate more independently of a clear command structure than paid assets, paid trolls, campaign/Administration figures, botnets, etc, there's a risk of letting a deadly threat remain active.
Desperate, minimally competent people can be mobilized for peanuts. Hopefully the publications paying for these articles have revealing bank transfers, #cryptocurrency deposits or what have you, but this is one industry where unwritten favors can serve as payment.
On the positive side? Minimally competent people w/little information can be flipped w/just 5 or 10 year sentences, so enough #FARA and/or tax-evasion indictments may do enough initial flipping. But I'd rather have a RICO investigation & certain CI/law-enforcement interest.
Also, while some people here are obviously intel/counterintel professionals, some of us are *not,* & are better off focusing on what we do well - such as uncovering critical flaws in large, complex systems, or bringing in data/resources no one else has. #NameYourForte
I actually appreciate everyone's well-reasoned analysis, pungent observations and/or gut instincts, but *really* appreciate more of the professional work being done by professionals. Whether to produce a complete "dossier" or simply to break new ground of interest.
1 further point. Subversion methods that made sense 20 or even 10 years ago can be suicidal today.
Remember the deep-cover Russian spies supposedly having the police "re"-issue "lost" IDs to provide a legit paper trail? What happens if we check for previous IDs w/#BigData?
This tapestry of treason interweaves with many factors, data points and revealing "tells" its participants are utterly oblivious to. So even as it unravels, those who wove it find they unwittingly snared themselves.
We need this scrutiny. And the justice which follows.

I considered the flaw in cryptocurrency enabling the mass tracking/takedown of organized crime/Russian intel a modest side project for more than one reason. As we proceed, *why* will become more apparent.
