We're starting to see the return of boys & girls playing together in ads and there have been positive moves by the Advertising Standards Agency lettoysbetoys.org.uk/tougher-guidel…
We've seen an increased support for challenging stereotypes. Since we started in 2012 we have won the BRIO Prize, the Care2 Impact Prize, the Change Opinion award and the Progressive Preschool Marketing Award.
56 stores across the UK currently have our Toymark award, celebrating best practice in retail lettoysbetoys.org.uk/toymark/
We've been discussed in Parliament and have a number of MPs across parties who support our work
Let Toys Be Toys resources are now available to support education settings from Early Years to secondary schools, with government starting to make positive changes including compulsory SRE lettoysbetoys.org.uk/schools
Gender stereotypes in childhood is now being talked about far more - with a positive reaction to #NoMoreBoysAndGirls a BBC documentary exploring why this is important and the re-publication of the fantastic Gender Agenda book from @GenderDiary
And there's more to come! Next year we hope to work with retailers and manufacturers focusing on inclusion in catalogues & other marketing materials. We'll also be looking at how inclusive our schools really are, including the role that teacher training plays. Roll on 2018!
