A recap on what we know about #Zuma - and what we DO NOT know about it.

(2) WE KNOW: the Falcon 9 Rocket was successfully launched on Sunday, Jan. 7th, from the Eastern Range in Cape Canaveral, Florida, following a string of delays caused by both technical and environmental reasons.

(3) The separation of the first stage of Falcon 9 was successful. The live feed was cut before the second stage separated from the payload -as is always done in secret missions.

(4) The First stage of the Falcon 9 successfully returned to earth.

(5) USA 280 is listed as a payload on orbit by the U.S. space surveillance system.

6) Nobody in the amateur satellite tracking community has seen it yet.

(7) Multiple Articles advance the hypothesis that the launch was a failure. But nobody has any evidence that #Zuma fell back into the atmosphere in a ball of fire, either.

(10) On the official mission press-releases, #Zuma is always mentioned as a spacecraft, not a satellite. What's the difference?

(11) When it moves under its own power, it is a "spacecraft". If it is freely falling in a gravitational field, it is a satellite. So the Space Shuttles are "spacecraft"; they have engines and can modify their orbits. The International Space Station is a satellite.

(12) Let's go back to this question, and focus on: WHO OWNS IT?

(17) So when we see #Zuma? Will we ever? Amateur observers are very dismissive that a sattelite can be invisible to those tracking it. Oh, yeah? A satellite? What about a spacecraft?

(18) Stealth is a sub-discipline of military tactics and passive electronic countermeasures. The goal is to make aircraft, ships, submarines, missiles and satellites less visible (ideally invisible) to radar, infrared, sonar and other detection methods - including visual methods.

(19) Development of modern stealth technologies in the United States began in 1958. Sixty years on, we HAVE to assume that the technology is WAY more advanced than what we openly know about.
