We're always looking at the trajectory of the investigation into the DOJ and how it will nail the top brass. While important, let us not forget the faceless nameless underlings that carry out the orders. They'll be caught in the net and used to go up the chain. #MissingTexts

The IG has a crack team of system auditors. They specialize in analyzing data and data systems. They are experts in data forensics. They know when and where the systemic failure occurred and why.
The next step is where the fun comes in. Pulling in the data techs in charge of the system in for intense interviews. After of course collecting all their communications.
IG investigators with years of experience are used to prying information out of the slickest of the slick field agents. Interviewing techs and software system managers to get information is like taking candy from a baby.
This is why when I saw this I smiled because I know exactly what it portends. 
#MissingTexts techies and their managers have been squeezed dry of information. So while we keep an eye on the big fish at the top, let's not forget the vulnerable little fish.
Demoting and isolating the main conspirators gave the green light to all the underlings. They no longer have any fear from above. They will turn on the now powerless big fish, \some out of self preservation, and others for revenge.
