1) Really enjoyed watching “Snatched” with @amyschumer & @goldiehawn last night. A couple of thoughts on this movie as a commentary about modern feminisimdb.com/title/tt233487…EFOl
@amyschumer@goldiehawn 2) I love @goldiehawn, period, end of story, she will always be Private Benjamin and I am a huge fan of @AmySchumer as well. But the message of “Snatched” has a political overtone—someone is trying to sell us something.
3) Hawn plays the concerned divorced mother and Schumer the usual irresponsible spoiled oversexed twentysomething. They go on vacation where, of course, things go wrong.
4) Over and over again we are presented with male characters who disappoint. Nobody can be “that guy,” no matter how attractive and may they seem. Only women are reliable.
5) In the end, only a neutered type guy is reluctantly okay, and even then it’s because he is utterly dependent on his “mama.” Literally, “ma-am.”
This is Hollywood feminism - the only way out of the patriarchy is a lesbian cocoon.
6) The message that women are only redeemed through lesbianism is not a productive one for society. It is a reverse form of sexism: Women in this model are better, and men are only acceptable when they bow and scrape and kneel to the Female.
Uch.
7) You might say I give Hollywood (and a single movie) too much credence except what ruined the #Grammys last night if not the epitome of this false feminist message, Hillary Clinton, bitterly reading from a bitter storybook?
They didn’t have Juanita Broaddrick up on stage.
8) Real feminism is about situated, balanced, respectful empowerment. It is about saying, I take care of you, and you take care of me. I see you.
9) Real feminists do not have the need to diminish or dominate men, or other women.
10) Real feminists are angry, because we want the world to be fairer than it is, and we hate how women are a dumping ground.
But the truth is, our most effective advocates are men.

She talks about being a localization specialist because they're good at blackmail. That doesn't make any sense. Localization has to do with creating strategies that appeal to local populations. From a development perspective it is correlated with resilience. There is no magic.
In her words: "What I did was something called Localization or L-10N. So localization strategy is you find a group of people...you kind of try to get in their mind...you use that to your advantage...so if I wanna blackmail you...I will know your deepest, darkest fears"
