(1) It's 12 days since the #Parkland shooting. I've been through a range of emotions since then, but I've recognized a pattern that I'd like to share with you.
(2) It's now crystal clear that local law enforcement services in Democrat Broward County, Florida are a MESS of corruption, dishonesty, and negligence.
Just like the federal law enforcement & intelligence community that President Trump inherited from the Democrats.
(3) I have full confidence in President Trump and everyone he has appointed (or is working with outside the executive branch) to restore the rule of law in America.
I've seen many times that he can pull off the seemingly impossible while in stealth mode.
(4) The Parkland tragedy could have been prevented or limited if about 20 different points of intervention had been utilized in the proper way.
The failures were spread among individuals, local, state & federal government.
The solutions must come from all of those.
(5) The Federal agencies, Congress & the WH have work to do. Especially the FBI. Firing Director Wray atm is a ludicrous idea & shame on Gov Scott for calling for this, given his own errors. No decisions can be made until we know what happened after the Jan 5 call was taken.
(6) I am of course NOT saying I think federal laws or policies should be changed in any way that limits gun ownership by law abiding people who are not a plainly obvious threat to others.
(7) The state of Florida, indeed any state with a "rule of law" problem, has a duty to clean up their act. The negligence & cowardice of at least 4 BSO deputies made MSD high school a #CopFreeSchool & a #CopFreeZone.
The Governor has a duty to use his powers to address that.
(8) The 2/3 of Broward "voters" who foolishly feel that the Democrat soft-on-crime mentality actually improves life for anyone (outside the already protected elites) will probably continue to "elect" self-interested liars like Scott Israel.
(9) So, for the sake of the innocent children forced to live in places like Broward County by their ill-informed parents, Americans outside the county have an interest in seeing that the rule of law is restored there, like in the rest of the country.
Everyone needs this.
(10) The principle of liberty behind 2A & the rest of the Bill of Rights provides the foundation for considering solutions to violent crime, which of course includes school shootings.
With rights come responsibilities.
(11) We have the right to liberty. We have the responsibility, if we want to prevent violence, to work on improving government performance, through accountability and changing policy/law.
What is working for America rn, can work in Broward, even when it stays blue.
(12) I used to believe that the MAGA agenda could only improve things within the executive branch and in those state and local governments that had decent, honest people in charge of them.
I now believe it is possible to make a difference anywhere in America, with time.
(13) Local & state agencies are (meant to be) bound by the rule of law. When they break it, federal agencies can carry out consequences on them & can restore public safety. State govts can, too.
IMO states' rights are necessary & extremely valuable. But they are not unlimited.
(14) On 8/12/17 the Charlottesville council & PD had certain duties in connection with the (mostly left wing) demonstrations there. The PD ruled a gathering unlawful. It then failed to properly clear the area or secure surrounding streets to reduce the risk of vehicle attacks.
(15) The assailant who drove into the crowd was only able to do so bc the PD had mismanaged the situation. Even if the mismanagement was truly accidental, it still broke the law & the DOJ has been developing a case against the PD. The DOJ has also messaged all the other PDs.
(16) After 8/12/17 there have been no more deaths or serious injury at demonstrations in the US. This is bc the DOJ made it clear to the LE community that (at best) blunders like that would not be tolerated.
It appears that Scott Israel felt he was exempt from that.
(17) There is no doubt a paper trail showing Scott Israel & his team received the DOJ messages. If were a Sheriff I'd have created a paper trail showing I did my best to improve my agency's performance, for use if later investigated.
I will be surprised if we see one.
(18) My message is simple: Donald Trump promised to do everything in his power to make all of America safe again. (I know, "safer" is all we can hope for. It's a rhetorical device.)
Across the board, he has so far kept his promises, on economic, social & foreign policy.
(19) You can quibble about this example or that example but the fact remains, America is in a FAR better position now than it was a year ago, and that it would be if the crooked one had stolen the election.
(20) And please don't try to waste my time with any of the "muh he hasn't locked them up yet!" nonsense. Try to have more patience than a four year old. #HorowitzDay is just around the corner. All hell is gonna break loose.
(21) I went from feeling very negative about the nature of the Broward swamp to stepping back and realizing that even a sticky problem like this one CAN be solved, in time.
Keep up the good work. Hold the line. All will be well. #MAGA#USA

(22) ADDENDUM ONE: Reporter @SaraCarterDC has written about 66 EXISTING misconduct cases vs the Broward Sheriff's Office, 40 of them under #FireScottIsrael's watch.
Gov Scott MUST act to clean up the BSO & others's systemic corruption, abuse of power.
(2) Brett M. Kavanaugh will soon be the 102nd Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the USA. He has earned this highest honor throughout his life, inspired by his trailblazing mother, Judge Martha Kavanaugh.
His title for these few hours is Associate Justice Designate.
(3) This statement from the Supreme Court explains the two ceremonies:
(2) This WaPo reporter is incorrect about the vote being "scheduled for" Saturday. The earliest time a vote COULD be held is Saturday pm. There's no reason not to hold it on Sun/Mon IF we need Daines. I think we won't. Read my 5 tweets about him here:
(1) A directory of my Kavanaugh threads since July 9, 2018.
I never planned more than a couple of threads about him this year but, I shoulda known the Dems would try to destroy whoever was the nominee this time.
(2) Like Democrats, I'd already decided how I felt about him before his nomination was announced. I live-tweeted the announcement, which was a great event in itself.
(3) I followed Kavanaugh's progress over the summer and on September 22nd, I finally wrote a thread about the preparations for the all-important hearing on September 27th. It covers the hearing before the next thread started the day after.
(2) Mitch laughing to himself about how absurd it is that he has to push his way through the crowd of reporters on 9/25/18.
(3) Sen Grassley is 85 years old. (Democrats have senators around that age, too.)
Today he had to hold onto a Capitol Police officer to reduce the risk of a reporter knocking him over. This has to stop. Senators must return to being able to walk around freely at work.
(2) First Lady Melania Trump is a natural in this important role.
She's one of those women whose face lights up whenever she is around children. God Bless our great First Lady.
👠🇺🇸
(3) FLOTUS left Joint Base Andrews in her trademark high heels and arrived in Ghana wearing practical flats. She still looks sensational, whatever she happens to wear!
(2) Cloture in the Senate is a procedural step that you can learn more about at the link below. The senate.gov website is the best resource for learning about Senate procedure and a lot more. Same for house.gov.
(3) Watching live Senate floor proceedings is boring as hell, as they pass bills for naming Post Offices, & so on. But every now & then, they confirm a SCOTUS judge. And this time, they will affirm our great #BillOfRights#DueProcess & the hard-won #RuleOfLaw. Seriously. 🇺🇸🦅
