The teachers aren't just doing something brave and hard and really hard to coordinate to do together in the face of so much fear and intimidation.
Remember, they're striking in part because teaching in WV is a poverty wage job, and because they can't afford their healthcare. Most teachers work at least 1 extra job. This teacher said she has a coworker who has SIX jobs.

Not only that - the #WVTeachersStrike is feeding all the kids on low income programs who would normally get lunch from school, and the teachers are often buying and serving this food themselves. twitter.com/i/moments/9693…
