Agneya–Daughter of the fire God Agni & guardian of the south east direction.

Ammavarua–The Goddess who laid the egg from which Brahma,Shiva& Vishnu hatched.(2/10)
Aranyani–Goddess of d forest &d creatures that live dere.

Banka Mundi–Goddess of d hunt & fertility.

Chhaya-Goddess of d shadows & consort of Surya,d Hindu sun God.

Durga-A fierce, demon fighting Goddess who sits upon a lion.Her name means one who alleviates suffering.(3/10)
Gayatri–Personification of Gayatri mantra.

Jyestha–Goddess of misfortune,she is d opposing force 2 her sister Lakshmi,Goddess of wealth& abundance.

Kali–Dark mother&Goddess of death&destruction.She represents our worst fears &the freedom dat we gain when we conquer them(4/10)
Kamadhenu –A bovine Goddess and mother of the sacred cow.

Lakshmi –Hindu Goddess of abundance of spiritual and material wealth.

Maya – The Goddess of illusion through which the material world manifests. She keeps us occupied so we do not see the deeper spiritual truths.(5/10)
Nirriti – Goddess of death and corruption and guardian of the southwest.

Parvarti – Consort of Shiva and mother of Ganesh. She is the Goddess of love and devotion.

Periyachi – A midwife Goddess associated with the protection of infants.(6/10)
Narashimhika–She is d eternal creative energy known as Shakti. Depicted with d head of a lion& the body of a woman she symbolises the balance between good &evil.

Radharani –she shows by example how 2 devote yourself 2 d divine.She is also known as Radha.(7/10)
Ratri – Goddess of the night- time, she is often referred to as Ratridevi.

Saranya – The beautiful Goddess of the clouds and the dawn. She is married to Surya the sun God.

Saraswati – Patron of the arts, music and sciences, she is the Hindu Goddess of Wisdom.(8/10)
Shakti-The active, creative feminine energy of the divine.

Shasti-The Goddess of Marriage & Children.She's also responsible for the fertility of the land.

Sita-Incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi.

Tulsi-A personification of the Holy Basil.Leaves r included in Prasadam.(9/10)
Ushas-Goddess of the dawn.

Vishwambhari-Goddess of Karma


In every aspect of Human life & nature we worship women.
Women are given equal position in our texts as mentioned initially where Shiva & Shakti are incomplete w/o each other. (10/10)

#Hinduism is a not a religion in the western sense. The name was originally invented by people who lived outside India to designate its geographical location, culture and ethnicity. The word became associated with native faiths of India much later.(2/7)
"Hindu" word came to us from Persia. Persians identified d people who lived south of d Indus river as Hindus.#Hindu came from the root word Sindhu and overtime it became Hindu from which came Hinduism.The Greek interpreted it as “Indos.” Hence,d Europeans used d name India.(3/7)
