A thread to accompany this video I just finished on Felix Sater. Just when you thought it couldn't get more odd, in comes information that leaves you shaking your head. Please watch the video as well, it helps me:
1. Background: Felix Sater is a longtime friend of Trump attorney Michael Cohen. Since childhood, friend. Note: (The more I research the more I fear Cohen is a bad dude.. #justsayin )
2. In the 90's, he was implicated (and later convicted) of stock fraud. He was "converted" into a serious US intelligence asset in 1998, with ties to then State Attorney LORETTA LYNCH, who spoke about him directly in the questioning for her nomination. judiciary.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/…
3. The connection to Lynch was glossed over in all of the articles written about Sater. In his time as an informant who found missing missiles, helped convict La Cosa Nostra members, helped track Bin Laden, etc., he also had ties to??
4. Andrew Weissman. They worked a case together for several years, actually. Yes- THE lead attorney appointed by Mueller on the Trump/Russia collusion scandal. This wouldn't be the first time Weismann was shady. (Mueller was FBI director during this time) slate.com/blogs/the_slat…
5. In addition to all of the covert intelligence work he was doing, Sater also had time to start a real estate development firm called Bayrock. You can find all of this information in detail in the links I will provide below the thread.
6. Bayrock was working with Michael Cohen (on behalf of the Trump Organization) in 2015 (DURING THE CAMPAIGN) to try to secure a licensing deal for Trump Tower Moscow. There was a letter of intent signed by Trump that was later rescinded. This is how Sater is pulled in to Mueller
7. The way the emails are written are so overt it is almost ridiculous- in the same way that I feel P-dops emails about meeting with Russians are ridiculous. They are so over the top it is obvious. Just like the supposed "Russian fingerprints" on the DNC servers are overt-get it?
9. In this same ABC article, Cohen also says he reached out to the press secretary for Putin at the request of Sater..... Ok......
10. Sater claims he is close with Trump. When he ran Bayrock he took up residence in Trump Tower and would bring various "deals" for licensing to Trump. Almost all failed. There was one that worked out in Florida, and almost got the Trumps busted for fraud (but didn't)
11. When you do a licensing deal, it's great- because if the project works out good, you get the recognition/money. If it works out bad, you can say that it was "just a licensing deal" and you don't have to take credit for the failure. That's what Florida was.
12. It was during this testimony in 2013 - and NOT recently - that Trump made the claim that he didn't know who Sater was, stating "I mean, I've seen him a couple of times; I have met him" and "If he were sitting in the room right now, I really wouldn't know what he looked like"
13. As soon as Trump found out about Sater's ties to organized crime, he cut all contact with him. In the testimony from Florida, when asked if he knew who owned Bayrock, Trump reiterated he didn't know how their organizational structure worked. It was testy for him.
15. So, Cohen maintains contact, and it appears Trump cuts it the heck off. There is so much more here- but for brevity, I will leave it like that.
16. Before we move on to the next amazing piece of the puzzle, here is an article from 2013 about him being a CIA asset courthousenews.com/did-cia-helpa-…
18. And one more: Here is a brief clip where Sater downplays his Russian status and then plays it up in the same few sentences while trying to minimize the email he sent to Cohen. cnn.com/2018/03/16/pol…
19. It also appears as though Cohen, Sater, and Manafort, were working to broker a "peace" deal between Russia and the Ukraine, which they slipped to Gen Flynn before he was dismissed. This story is from February of last year. archive.is/H6ZGE
20. So to summarize, so far, we have at least two people who worked as former intelligence somehow looped into Trump/Russia- Carter Page (who I feel was used as a patsy) and now Sater. I haven't touched Deripaska yet.
21. We also have several people who overtly speak of Russia as though they are TRYING to get caught that I feel were PLANTED in the campaign to back engineer a Russia story, or worse. They are Papadopolous, Gates, Manafort, and maybe Cohen has a role in this somehow :(
22. For Sater to come out and openly speak about these things now is VERY dangerous for him given the level of work he did for our government with some pretty scary people. Why now? Was he going to be used as a fall guy?
23. Also, Sater acknowledges in the "Buzzfeed" piece that he HAS spoken with BOTH intelligence committees, so both committees know what he has and he has done, and still the House moved to say "no collusion"- there is nothing there with re: to Trump. Others? Not sure.
24. This just gave me more questions. It didn't answer much of anything for me. I am frustrated now, because I need to fit this all together. Mueller/Weissman et al are involved here, the whole thing is odd....
Immediately the Lake team uses the proper interpretation of AZ law; that the results of the election are UNCERTAIN. They will get into how the judge erred in his interpretation very shortly.
They state what was proven at trial; failures on Election Day were deliberate. They state what Maricopa has done; Marginalize the deliberate acts with claims of “hiccups” and diminish their impact. This, even as the closing argument blamed voters (Liddy: “You reap what you sow”)
Hot take: When big accounts ask you a question in a tweet, it’s a way for them to get engagement. I’d much rather just give you information and you’ll comment if you want — unless I truly am asking a question.
Ex: There is a hotly contested speakers race. Who do you feel should be speaker?
Or: “Retweet if you agree that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza. Let’s show the world we hate pineapple pizza!!”
THREAD: I am having a hard time understanding the sudden call to “not politicize” things that have already been politicized or are political in nature. I didn’t want movies or comedy to be politicized. I didn’t want sports to be politicized. I didn’t want MUSIC to be politicized.
Alas, here we are. Almost 2023 and LEGITIMATELY everything is politicized. WE DID NOT DO THIS. Woke mobs did. I was perfectly happy shopping without knowing what ideology the corporation held BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T TELL US. It used to be that you did not WANT to alienate half..
…of your customer base. Now people do it as thought it’s REQUIRED.
War is OVERTLY political. War is bad, yes. BUT it is a political action, taken for political reasons. How the hell are you supposed to NOT politicize war?
Inside: “First and foremost, and missed by many, Rosenstein appeared under oath before a Senate Committee without an attorney. With an ongoing investigation into this entire mess being led by a large and growing team of US Attorney’s under the direction of John Durham, (cont)
and the way certain members of the DOJ like to throw out perjury charges (just ask Roger Stone, George Papadopoulos and General Michael Flynn), you would think if Rod were in any legal jeopardy for any of his actions that (cont)
Both of these things can be true: RR buried the FBI today in his testimony. He also clearly passed all responsibility for any and all of his actions to others. That doesn’t make him noble. He lied to the senate today under oath. That doesn’t make him noble.
He threw the entire FBI under the bus today and we learned a whole lot more about what went down over those months. But he also made a number of just completely unbelievable statements. It’s also clear as @LeeSmithDC said, that @LindseyGrahamSC wouldn’t let him fully answer(cont)
when he was going to expose more. Bottom line- I maintain position here - the hearing was damning in so many ways that I will break down soon. However, the only thing these people have is leverage over one another. That’s why McCabe made a statement today. There is no (cont)
There is no way on Gods green earth RR didn’t know that the Steele Dossier WAS PAID FOR by the DNC IN JUNE. He’s a liar and I’m sure there’s an email proving that somewhere.
Not only that - but RR actually ASKED MUELLER to investigate General Flynn for the Logan Act!
He’s literally saying his case load was too large. Wow.
