The grovelling querying of Mark Zuckerberg by these Senators who either have no idea what FB does or who are effectively on the FB payroll is why, I suspect, after Trump comes an even more Caesarian uprising.

Everything Zuckerberg is saying is not aimed at US regulators-who FB knows they can effectively bribe, donate or frustrate into nugatory activity-but at the EU. The Europeans have many faults but they steadfastly refuse to view CEOs as more than mafioso, unlike woshipful Yanks

All crimes are chronology. Amazes me that none of Zuckerberg's inquistitors are beginning at the beginning. The whole value in FB was always that they would obtain hard to get personal consumer information given voluntarily and sell it to businesses.

Democrats on the razor's edge here: they love all the money, bias. and endorsement from the tech bros & also know that the Dem base want the wealth of the tech bros confiscated & their California estates turned into collective farms.

One of the more amusing aspects of the Never Trump push was/is their belief in the US political class as fit and proper, when these senators' laziness & corruption is only outdone by their inability to interrogate an overmighty tech bro....bring on the EC probe

Who is this grovelling senatorial toady asking Zuckerberg if he has a "free market incentive" to protect data? Facebook's "free market incentive" is to take the data you naively gave and sell it to whoever bids for it. Log off Hayek and give up the drugs.

The appeal of a Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump is immediately obvious when watching the US Senate grovel to Mark Zuckerberg & all he represents...US has the best political class that special interest money can buy & deserves its fate

Zuckerberg is a smart guy. He knows not one of these muppets will move against him. He either owns them via donations or they honestly believe in a free market ideology that allows colonisation of patrons
