India withdraws ₹2.4 to 2.5 lakh crores every month from ATMs alone. What is so big about 45K cores in 3 weeks then?

India withdrawn ₹2.64 lakh crores from ATMs using debit cards in the month of December 2017.
In October 2016, this was ₹2.55 lakh crores & during Nov 2016 & Dec 2016 it was ₹1.23 lakh crores & 0.85 lakh crores. But it jumped to ₹2.26 LC in March 2017.
Of course, elections naturally increase cash demand. But don't blame that alone for the #cashcrunch.
RBI failed to circulate enough currency needed in the system & hope they may do a course correction.
As per latest statistics as on 6/4/18,CIC is ₹18.425 LC, which is 1LC less!
Our media don't believe in questioning Government based on data!
Everyone was salivating over CIC crossed pre-Demon levels.
No one care to ask whether that much CIC is enough to meet the need to maintain the prevailing GDP?
No one bothered to ask under what logic the same Government & RBI print currency notes at around 15% annual growth rate pre-Demon levels!
How system will sustain with less than 1.5% annual growth of CIC post DeMon?
Ha ha..Are you admitting that Congress is so smart to withdraw money and dry out ATMs to make this Government & RBI to their knees?
What a lovely spin. Bhakts will eat any garbage 🤣
done a grave mistake. They let Urjit Patel off the hook without making him accountable to the Parliamentary Committee. MMS is a gentleman but not a smart politician. Politics demands Urjit Patel should be grilled & forced to explain his stupidity or servitude!
BRB, please understand that the data I shared here is just the money withdrawn from ATMs alone. The currency withdrawal from bank counters are not shared by RBI in their database.
CASH IS THE KING 👑
JUST ADMIT THAT & MOVE ON..
This graph is for education purpose for my journalist friends. This will give u an idea of currency withdrawn from ATM using debit cards each month between Oct 2016 to Feb 2018 using the data published by RBI.
Think why there was on cash crunch on Oct 2016 and why it is now?
Because the investigative journalists (except @nit_set then for Business Standard) who are now bothering about 45K crores withdrawal forget to question that lakhs of crores deposits and withdrawals within a fortnight..

Now ask aloud why there was no cash crunch when more than 1.2 lakh crores deposit fall happens in two weeks before DeMon?
Oh.. We don't ask inconvenient questions.. I forget.. 😛
Our Finance Minister response then

Of course, we are blessed with a great opposition, who loves to observe maun vrit about this.
Of course, everyone, from INC to AAP...DeMon was awe & they were speechless 😶
For the ones who wants to teach me certain leaders statements. My view point is that opposition's role is not lip service or generalised statements or accusations or unconditional apology. You should enlighten people and bring them to the street to resist when country is looted
For the ones to educate me about their great leader hit the streets,
Let me share my observations.. when it was UPA, he was a roaring lion not ready to cede an inch... When it was Modi , his shoulders were stooped and the voice was feeble ;)
Except Mamata Banerjee, I have not seen any opposition leader made noise about DeMon with conviction. It's my observation, you can agree or disagree. I made that clear then and now too.
We should learn to question our leaders if we see inconsistencied rather than worshiping them like ardent devotees. That helps the democracy & make them better leaders. But most of us love to follow the cult culture.. That is a curse!
Good night friends :)
No cash crunch

Many here asked me why I am not reacted to the latest RBI Annual Report which exposed DeMon as nothing but a perverted dream of a Tughlak.
First of all there was nothing surprising elements there for me!!
Then everyone was discussing the amount of 99% returned to the system! Some sigh of relief as our Urjit stop counting, but I don't get any evidence that he has stopped that!!
Because still we hear about old SBN notes are seized by agencies ;)
Annual Report 2017-18 of the RBI that Rs.15.311 trillion Specified Bank Notes was returned. While RBI in its AR in 2016-17 itself admitted that as of June 30, 2017, received Rs.15.28 trillion of SBN.
IMD started issuing alerts "be prepared" from August 8! "For action" was issued on August 9.
At least glad that IMD admitted that their alerts were that close.
Also thank you for not claiming that they have issued alerts for "extreme rainfall" and only "heavy rainfall" then
I scanned all those reports of this regional office issued. NOWHERE I SEEN AN EXTREME RAINFALL EVENT ALERT. Each Monsoon season IMD used to issue HEAVY TO VERY HEAVY RAINFALL alerts and small reservoirs used to spill and the spate will be comfortably negotiated by the rivers
Please understand the nuances. We can negotiate a heavy rainfall event, whatever allowances in the dams and river channels are sufficient to negotiate that one. You will see some flooding, may be a knee deep one & dams spill w/o any problems
"In Kerala, there’s no reason to damn the dams" here is my answer to all pundits who are preaching an early opening of Idukki would have saved the flooding of Periyar..
I felt depressed when a person who served as the Director of the prestigious IITM says that he has given warning & Kerala has no respect for his warning but Odisha has!!
Oh boy!! I am at a loss if you cant discern cyclones in East coast and extreme rainfall in Western coast
With due respect to his credentials as an expert environmentalist, I differ with him, because this is a repeat of 1924 and this type of extreme events will occur with an annual exceedence probability of 9.52% in a span of 100 years!
How many dams are there in Achecoil, Manimala & Meenachil which created havoc in Central Kerala?
ZERO
How much yield of Pamba River is impounded in the dams there?
JUST 10.4%
Blame it on dams!!
Come to the Northern Kerala.....
There you have the Great Chaliyar River, which flows through Kozhikode and Malappuram Districts.
How many dams are there is this Chaliyar River basin other than some small weirs?
ZERO.
Blame it on dams..
Why ur doing annual maintenance of Idukki machines whn the Monsoon is active?
Smart QN.
But understand that Idukki is meeting Kerala's peak energy demand, its annual maintenance are done during monsoon and its all machine are needed in summer whn demand high, not in monsoon
