Then get out there and make it! a couple of years ago some guys asked me how I got into film reviewing. It was mostly by chance.

I've always loved movies, my aunt used to take me to the cinemas at weekends as a child where I'd see see films I fell in love with like The Princess Bride , Labyrinth the Disney animated movies and ET, but talking about them was a fun thing to do on @McYapandFries
After I took a break from project management however, I saw on twitter that @nerdpsan & @STARBURST_MAG were looking for writers (they probably still are). These weren't paid positions but you could get review copies of books/comics and a place to show case your writing
also very handy was an "@starburstmagazine.com" email address, which made it much easier to get added to the movie distributors press lists for press screenings
After doing that an IT jobs for a while I was getting press invites to movies that were coming out here before the US & UK so I'd get an early review into both @nerdspan & @STARBURST_MAG. these eventually helped me get a paid writing gig @TheHypedGeek
The ign and hypedgeek jobs came to an end however, but luckily that's when @AtTheMoviesMY picked up, I'd met both @umapagan & @bahiry through friend over thr years and even had them on our @mcyapandfries movie podcast.
Just before #TheForceAwakens came out @umapagan asked if I'd be interested in reviewing it on the @bfmradio with him ...I was but I was heading home to Ireland for Christmas and wouldn't be here!
I thought I'd blown my big chance!
Luckily, once I got back he asked me on anyway and I've been appearing almost regularly since starting with The Big Short in January 2016 bfm.my/at-the-movies-…
... and since the beginning of this year we've switched from doing 1 show a week to 5 :O thankfully there is MORE than enough movie and
TV show content to keep us going!

Today's story is about my encounter with the Hantu Mak Cik Cleaner At MidValley
This happened a few years back in 2015 when i was working for an International School. I was assigned to set up a booth for the Private & International School Fair (PISF). I clearly remembered that it was on a Saturday. I was told to set up the booth on Friday itself
It was 9pm and I started doing my work and i was with one other colleague as the another colleague was suppose to come but unfortunately she was sick. So it was just us two. We started setting up and went to the basement thru and fro to get our stuffs. Little did we realise that
When you pass by that highway, you would feel as though there are people watching your every move. Even more you would feel it when you are driving alone. Here are a list of ghosts that you may encounter
1. The old proton saga that is abandoned at the road side.
I saw that car with 2 people in it. A mother and an infant. The infant had red-eyes and the cry was very high-pitched as the mother looks possessed and stares towards u. DONT LOOK them in the eye.
2. The reappearing yellow volkwagen.
NO MATTER how many times you try to overtake this car, it will end up overtakking you.. atleast 6 times. There is no driver for the car but there is a lady in a black kebaya and 3 red roses in her hair. SHE will NEVER fail to turn and look.
A fresh discussion on an old topic
Like every problems in this world, the factors involved are intrinsic and extrinsic
Intrinsic being the doctors and the system
Extrinsic being the patients and society
1. Doctors
Generally doctors are efficient.Generally. But because of maldistribution city/rural or doctors pulling strings (parents' supports to be in specific hosp) or stunts (unplanned EL/MC,regular cig breaks), the services at certain clinics/hospitals will be affected
2. System
Patientload getting more because of poor health education/campaign. Not uncommon to have diabetic awareness talks/program comes with heavily-carbs nasi lemak. Even hosp staffs smoke within hosp vicinity. No audit on success of public health programs
💥💥Poll 03💥💥
As an employee, does your parents help to speak to employer on your behalf?
OR
As parents, do you speak to your child's employer on his/her behalf?
If YES, in what instances?
The result of poll
93% says NO
But somehow for NEW DOCTORS, a few of them still need their parents to voice out for them
I believe as compared to other professions, doctors have and always will have their employment guaranteed
Finish med school and wait for placement
Even the interview with JPA Jab Perkhidmatan Awam is such a sham although we try to make it look real by wearing coat and tux
Btw, I don't stand looking at cibais (Hokkien for female vaginas, actually rarely seen male vaginas) all day. I usually sit down and slowly consume the view for complete examination. OK, I am giving a wrong picture of things
Vulva and vaginal ds are not popular in Malaysia and nobody seems to take a particular interest in it. There is no superconsultants on it and tbh, lots trainees fail when MRCOG (external UK exam) because they failed at vulva vaginal ds questions
Personally, no horrifying tales from me for caving.
But hiking, I can relate to climbing up slippery tracks and being lost.
I had climbed a few hills and mountains myself and the scariest so far would be in Bukit Perdana, Batu Pahat.
Went there being guided by an acquiantance who is a supposedly hiking pro.
Basically, we all went there after work, climbing at 515pm
Initial route up was tough as it had just rained & we went thru some slippery rocks. The rest area has a swing, a few hammocks &a Malaysian flag.
Halfway through, somebody decided to be cheeky and led us to another route after rest area.
Halfway through our hike, my friend declared "I think we are lost"
And we remembered the news about a couple of boys being lost and ended up in the news. Luckily the boys all survived.
